USA Double Standards and Supporting Terrorism

We all know about the recent 20 Billion arms deal to Saudi Arabia...

Do you note the double standards here? Saudi Arabia has proven to be a nation who can't curb terrorism, Pakistan was and still is in the same boat yet Pakistani government has been threatened to deal with the terrorism while Saudis are not given any warnings or threats to deal with terrorism.

    I wonder why?

Yeah, this is nothing new to someone who is informed. The United States government today is a hypocrite. Every time the CIA has overthrown a democratically elected foreign government in the past, that was "terrorism."

You can be a cold, ruthless dictator who butchers your own people, but as long as you give the U.S. government what it wants, they will keep you in power. Anyone who thinks we invade other countries to "bring them democracy" is an ignorant fool. It is all about global empire and world domination.

Exactly. Ronald Reagan called the Mujahideen "freedom fighters" in the 1980s when they were fighting the Soviets in Afghanistan, and today the same group is called "terrorists" and "insurgents" when they are fighting U.S. troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. Go figure that one out.....

The CIA paid Bin Laden and provided him with weapons to attack the USSR in the 80's.

They must have lost his phone number since then.....

People see the dream, and carry that dream in discussion forums as claims..

There is no proof that USA/CIA ever helped Osama Bin Laden or his Organization.
    OBL has always been Anti-US...

    When will you learn.....

Obviously the CIA won't admit to this now but back in the cold war it is well known that the CIA backed almost all the plots against the Soviets/Communism. Need examples? Look at Cuba, Vietnam, Korea etc..

That quote is from non-other than Reagan.

CIA also paid him a friendly visit in 2001 before September 11th - http://www.guardian.co.uk/waronterror/story/0,1361,584444,00.html

Wikipedia makes a clear statement that the Afghan Mujahideen were supported by the CIA and the US.

    From BBC:

Not a shred of evidence GTech???? Obviously the CIA will distance themselves from this now but we all know how honest they are.....

An anonymous sourced FRENCH intelligence report. No proof, no back ups, just some claims..

Afghan Mujahideen = Northern Alliance, Same people USA is helping now, Same people who fought against Soviet Union and then Taliban.

Osama was never been a part of NA and he hated them for accepting help from USA.

Osama was a prominent member of the Mujahideen

    Taken from wikipedia as well.

I have yet to see any sources which prove anything about the CIA not helping in Afghanistan and events in Cuba and Vietnam suggest they would help any cause against communism.

Mujahideen is not an organization. Its an adjective used for every Muslim jehadi.
2 enemies can be Jehadi, Mujahideen at the very same time.

In the case of Afghanistan, Osama betrayed his family and Saudi to go to Afghanistan to help Mujahideens because he didnt like US involvement in Afghanistan and Set his own Base (Al-qaeda, The Base). He'd always been Anti-US and never required nor wanted US help.

People link him with US because his father, Mohammed Awad bin Laden had a good relation with the royal family of Saudi and USA. But Osama's Family disowned him as soon as he betrayed them and the Royal family..

Osama went to Afghanistan because he wanted to defend Muslims against the soviet invasion.

Directly/Indirectly he was helped by US arms and money. The majority of the Mujahideens in Afghanistan fought on the same side against USSR. A large percentage then became part of Osama's group and formed Al-qaeda or joined the Taleban. Either way, the US provided arms and money which eventually filtered through to Taleban or Al-Qaeda.
