What's the most common pricing in terms of length?

I'm just not sure what is best. $5/month featured, $50/year, you know.

Unless you are a big player in the industry, permanent is the way to go.

I think monthly is good as the PR some times falls and SE ranking so for placing links... monthly is best policy as if you go for yearly or permanently the site may become lazy as the site is not getting any recurring income ....

This is purely my view... not forced...

Agree with NRLMedia. Would be better to have all the options on your submit form so people will choose the best one for them.

Although I perfer permanent. I am not opposed to yearly. I think each directory owners really needs to decide what is in the best interest of the directory and not the masses.

I think you are out of your mind if you think a website owner is going to pay for a monthly directory link.

Maybe an advertisement, but no way for a directory link.

Permanent . With several links throughout our directory to ensure maximum exposure and benefits.

We want to ensure that websites get their monies worth.

At a later date we will add featured listings which will run at the top of the all the same category pages submitted to and when the featured period has ended this will revert back to a normal listing.

At any time a site in our directory will be able to upgrade to a featured listing as long as it is available.

Permanent Permanent is what we are offering.

I actually run all payment options in my directories (different ones).

Sometimes I change the options so that people can get special offers. ;)

yearly or permanent, preferably both is the way to go, I would not pay for monthly and I doubt I would pay for 6-months either.

here is how i do it .... I am not a very big player in this industry. I just own a pr 5 directory and work my hardest.

    49.95 (Yearly) for featured

    14.95 (Permanent) Regular

Until i hit PR 6 the prices will stay like this .... once i hit pr 6 ... i'll make regular higher and featured higher ... but the status will remain like this...

after a year .. featured listings will be converted to permanent regular :)

think by default, most directories start out as permanent listings and as they grow in stature and strength, many will switch to annual listings...... esp when costs go up and we cannot keep accumulating monthly links while keeping submissions on a permanent basis.

We charge yearly cause of the added features we provide.

There's a 6 month option there as well, but people rarely ever choose that.
