I have never made any video. Can you recommend me any good program for that please. It has to be quite simple but also need to feature advance options to make some special effects on titles, pictures etc. tnx
Windows Movie Maker (free with XP) is ok for basic stuff. I use it for YouTube and sending annoying movies to my friends. It's quick and dirty - kinda like MSPaint for video. I use After Effects/VirtualDub for everthing else - only because I've been using it for years. Sony Vegas and Adobe Premiere are also great applications.
windows movie maker is far better for a starter.. if u need some advanced effects.. adobe premiere is the best
I've got to say I've been pretty happy with Studio 10 that came with my Pinnacle capture card. Easy to use with lots of features. I've been using premiere until lately.
thanks for answer. Which one do you think has more features and is for more professional use: Adobe Premiere or Adobe After Effects?
Adobe After Effects has more effects but you can't mix a whole movie with it, it's ment to be used in combination with Premiere. And it is much more complicated. Premiere Pro is more userfriendly and it has some preaty neat effects also.
I use (mostly) ULead Media Studio Pro. I like it because it has all the power of Premiere, is very easy to use, and can handle just about anything I can throw at it. You can go to the ULead site and get a trial version I believe. ULead VideoStudio (someone else referenced) is a separate product (I do not know if it is a watered down Media Studio Pro or a totally different product that is less capable but more consumer-priced). Whatever you decide to do, be sure to get the free trial of the products you are considering and give them a try. You'll invest some time but you will save yourself a lot of headaches and money if you take the time to actually try them out first on your PC. There ARE things like "incompatabilities" and such with certain hardware/software/etc., but they are far fewer these days. Good luck to you!
If you're just starting out video editing, you could try Magix Movie Edit Pro. It;s simple to use especially the ability to easily switch between storyboard and timeline mode. Also it has several one-key functions like cut clip which only requires you to press the T key. It is also a budget program with a host of impressive features like chroma key and such. There's a full free beginner's tutorial at http://www.freevideoworkshop.com
Adobe premiere is probably the best around at the moment like some other members mentioned I would go with that.
MS Movie makers gets my vote from very quick and effective video editing, although it is quiet buggy, and cant handle long videos. So make sure you save your work often Sample video I made with Moviemaker can be found here; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3ocBT9iiK0
well If your kinda new with this kind of stuff you can use a basic editor Windows Movie Maker which I used to make a Pro movie with, really good animation effects. If your a Pro which you say your not, I cant think of anything for you. thanks
Sony Vegas is the absolute best program for the money, I have used it for nearly every single video project that I have completed with my Independent Video Company. Although frowned upon as a amateur program, it's UI is easy to navigate through and even easier to learn!
