Is there a way to rank high (first, second, third) for almost any search term imagineable? I'd like to know if it's at all possible. If we put our heads together we could do it! Is anybody willing to brainstorm with me? Last 2 questions; If some one found out how to do it, how much would you be willing to sell the "secret" for? What would be a reasonable price?
Sure as long as all key phrases are 4 words or longer and not in any order that makes sense. Piece of cake. Not worth very much, though.
If that's all there is to it, then why are so many people over the internet stumped about their position in the search engines?
I read an article the other day about a young guy who's about 16 or so, that hacked into the pentagon and took control of there system. If he could do that, then I know that there's somebody that can figure out how to box with google and make money easily. I think most web site owners are so muck in fear of their competion, that they forget that it's google that they are really up against. If Wikipedia can do it, then why can't everyone else? Maybe it's owned by someone who really knows how to play the google game.
You need to have out of the world content for this, on each and every topic imaginable. Thats funny, but still its a very good hint for you .. Wikipedia has become authority on nearly every imaginable topic. So, virtually saying its possible but practically its too goddamn tough.
Admitting defeat to an opponent is mutiny! These guys who created this "algo" aren't any smarter than any of us. I really think they just practiced through trial and error until they came up with a way to deter people from standing up to them. "Black hat's" - those guys just keep getting paid ladies and gents. I frequent many forums on the web and I see people who are "MAKING A KILLING" online! That's the main reason why I decided to take a crack at this stuff. Those guys aren't any smarter than we are people.
Perhaps you should look at the Bio of Google, and their algorithim. The original version was fairly complicated. Since then they have sent their brightest engineers to make the system very hard to crack. Its no easy task to get high rankings, unless your keywords are long and very specific. If you want to see what it takes to reach that goal , Wikipedia is our prime example. But Wikipedia has been around since the 90s, and a well established website is what Google is looking for. They also want lots of good backlinks, and updated, original content. Its like not this hasnt been said before on this forum. Dont try to underestimate Google, they have the smartest workforce around. There are many aspects of the Google algorithim that are beyond your control for manipulation. BTW, welcome to the game we all play called online business. I dont mean to lecture you too much, but there is no secret to our game besides knowledge, hard work and persistance. While there are some people on here that are millionaires, you can count that number with two hands.
Before I started trying to develop web sites, I figured that it would be in my best interest to learn the ins and outs of the business. Well I studied seo and marketing, while still keeping my eye on beating the search engines along with the competition. The reason that I started this post is because i've just about found a way to do it without all of the hear say mumbo-jumbo that I seen people suggesting that everyone should do, only to see that they've fallen in the search engine rankings. The man or woman who keeps building winners doesn't see it as others do. My biggest fear is to put in alot of effort to succeed at something only to come up short. Optimizing your web site is definitely the key, but I know that there are some individuals who have figured this stuff out totally, but they browse these boards as if it can't be done. People it can be done. I've had conversation with millionaires at the casinos here in vegas who've shown me $300,000 google checks and they've spilled out some of the secrets to knocking your competition, and GOOGLE, out of the box.

Im confused, why are "we" against Google? They are doing us a deed by providing us with free traffic, but they are only providing traffic for those who they deem worthy. You are talking like you want to bite the hand that feeds you. If you want to make money through Google, i suggest you play by their rules. Other wise there are plenty of other places that you can get traffic from.
You are so very right. Maybe I shouldh've shortened my replies to beating your competition. I got a little carried away while waiting on replies to this thread. Is it possible to rank high in the search engines for just about any keyword? Can it be done in as little as 3 to 4 days? Or does it take months? How can one always beat his competition every time?
What are the rules by the way? Should every website be structured like a magazine in order for someone to provide quality content to web surfers? This is what I think google wants. I'd like to have about 15 very profitable websites that i could manage by myself that's all. People have been shaking in their boots walking the google tightrope IMO.
On one of my site, i ranked quite highly for several keywords .. but still not enough to knock off my main competitor who is ranked much better than me for multiple keywords (thats without doing much SEO!), but his site is like 4 yrs older than mine.
build a site build quality useful content for your users have a good site design use a sitemap promote your site build links and use time in your favor thats about the extent of the tips.
There is no way to beat Google. Trust me, Google is smarter than all of us combined. Just build good content and get links to it. There are no "shortcuts".
Competitive keywords can take months, if not years, to get to the top. Honestly, my opinion from this topic is you have the "stick it to the man" personal and google is the "man". You seem to want to find all the trick and exploits and use it to get rich. You should probally initially understand that the man is going to be paying you, and you shouldn't stick it to him. Follow the road last traveled. Copying other people and their methods will only make you mediocre and you seem to want to hit it big. Do something innovative, bring something to a whole new level, and you will reap the rewards. Make sure that you keep your ideas on the down low until you are ready to use them, its a feeding frenzy for new things.
