Not Ranking Where I Should. Why?

    OK, I don't understand this, how can a site with less page rank, less links and less powerful I have PR6s and pr7! I also have a higher page strength. I rank in many terms where they do not, but I need to rank in this one term Muscle Car Restoration

    Why can I not get past the top guy? What is he doing?

    Maybe he has more relebant back links than you, or his content is better. He could be SEO' ing his site a lot better than you. Just keep doing what you are doing now and you will get results from it.

    I doubt he is seoing or has better content. Our stuff is all unique his is pulled from other sources quite a bit. His domain name is the keyword could that be a factor?

    Well, I have sub pages with the keyword as follows

    muscle-car-restoration.html it ranks above my homepage. I just dont get why I dont rank higher when my site far outweighs the competition in every way.

    is your site begining with jefxxx , check his site the term is on top as h1 but you don't have the term on top and all the text is body text you have to include the term 2-3 times on the page.

    can you pm me your domain I checked the domain on the 5th and 6th place , if they did what I adviced they'll beat the first one (with a domain from 1999 and yahoo+dmoz links).

    Hmm, well yes the word is only mentioned twice on my page. But I didnt want to get hit with it to many times on my page. I will rework the site myself and see what happens. Is it smart to do it right now while a update is happening though? Or should I wait till its over.

    Maybe it won't reach this one but it will be ready for the coming one so the sooner is the better.I understand your concern about not repeating but it has to be on top as h1 (some say that h2 is better these days and I agree with them).If you work on it it will look natural.
