Who is more popular- Sachin Tendulkar or Harry Potter??

I think Sachin is way ahead in terms of popularity.What do u say?

 

More people have heard about Harry Potter than Sachin Tendulkar, I have to say.

BTW, on what basis are you making this comparison- the number of searches in the online world for the keyword or simply the number of people who know/ have heard of them- both online and offline?

 

Worldwide probably Potter. Inexplicably cricket isn't played much outside of the old Empire countries.

 

I have no idea who Sachin Tendulkar is. However i can guess by the last post and say he is a cricket player.

Potter is a world wide phenomenon, and you need to realise that many Americans have never heard of Tendulkar, although almost every kid knows the name of the thin boy with messy black hair, green eyes and a lightning bolt scar

 

I know Sachin is very popular but there are countries in which people not knowing Sachin.

So I say Harry Potter is more popular

 

Apparently the Harry Potter brand is worth 4Billion Dollars, so if you want to compare the money they earn/are worth, I think harry potter wins.

 

Never heard of Sir Don either. Even though i live in UK i simply don't like cricket and i never watch it. I think only one of my mates is into cricket. I bet others won't have a clue who that dude is either. It does not matter where you live. You just need to like cricket.

The main problem with cricket is the sheer length of time it takes for a game to be played.

 

Harry Potter is famous worldwide and is one of the most selling fiction in the world. However not much people know about Sachin Tendulkar.

I'm an American, so I've never heard of Sachin Tendulkar. We do not have the patience for a sport like cricket, so we changed the rules around, sped it up and called it "baseball." Even that sport is too slow for many Americans.

 

Sachin Tendulkar is popular only in India whereas Harry Potter has a wordwide audience.

 

I will go with Harry Potter.

 

Probably because cricket is sooo boring...

On the other hand, I'll say that even Tryphon Tournesol is more known than the other one...

 

That's part of the attraction! A Test match is scheduled to last for 5 days and there are four possible results (Win, lose, draw or tie). Nature plays a huge part as well; the way the leather of the ball decays, the way the pitch breaks up and the way the clouds can make the ball swing. A unique sport.

 

Exactly, Sachin is one of the great cricketers in the world, but i think he is not so much popular as Harry Potter.

 

i think its like comparing two different things....as mangoes with apples...

both are different..n both have different fan groups...

so its very difficult to know which one is more popular....
