    Its now a race to aquire 3-4 letter .com's , .net's and .org's

Once they are exhausted, what will be the nxt TLD to go for ?

Simply speaking, which are the most important TLD's and which are the least important ( in terms of $$$ )

 plenty of ccTLD and gTLD bandwagons to jump on... I hear mobi or asia will be the next .com!

It's really hard to guess, but I'm going to speculate that it's not going to shy away (largely) from .com's in the next 5 years. I suspect we'll see a few more .nets, but there are still so many .com's available.

    Hi
I'd say .eu and perhaps .us. It's late, but not to late.

You got that right! We are about two or three generations away from the end of .com's dominance. In the earliest TV and print ads featuring the internet addresses of the advertisers, the emphasis was always on the fact that it was "dot com". The basic adult computer user probably still uses .com first.

I overheard some seniors at the coffee shop who didn't realize that the website for the White House - Home of the President, was a government site that had a .gov extension. They just used .com and now because of that one experience, they have declared the internet to be devoid of any value and nothing but a "bunch of disgusting downloads".

    I am liking .bz

Other extensions will not become "all the rage' until someone takes a .net, .ws, or .tv and heavily markets it on television.
That will then open the door for others to do the same.
As long as ".com" dominates the major marketing, and advertising, it will also dominate the domain world.
    Don't worry, it will come.

I.M.H.O., .com runs the market as "The Dominator..."

I can see .TVs being worth something in the future (especially since they are so expensive to begin with!

lol. By adding numbers you're not getting a 3 letter org. Keyword: Letter.

its about quality not length imo.

Just because a domain is a certain length may carry some reseller value, but real value is selling to end users.
