Why Do Famous People Adopt Kids??

It's a fact that more and more Hollywood stars are adopting third world kids, but I'm not very convinced about their motives. I want to hear your opinion:

a) Is it because they truly want to save them from hunger

b) Is it because they're to lazy to make their own kids

c) Is it because they want to get more media coverage

The other question would be - Are those kids better off living in a house made of mud risking starvation and AIDS or is it better for them to grow up in an expensive mansion and risk to become spoiled alcohol and drug addicts?!

 

D/ to make them feel good, like they are doing something for humanity, well they can donate %50 of their money to poor, it's just cheaper to adopt one and claim you care about the poor, it gets you free press to boost your sales and image

 

A mixture of all the three reasons you stated. People will obviously tend to go for option number three, but option number one holds true in quite a few cases.

 

I hope some hollywood star would adopt me LOL anyway I'm old enough to stay away from alcohol and drugs hehehe

 

Well They just want to be more famous that why and they can't choose partner with what to make childs

 

Option 3 in most cases.

Why do non-celebrities adopt kids?

I'd like to think your heart is in the right place if you choose to adopt, whether you are a celebrity or not.

Actally they adot kids becuase couples like brad and that tomb raider women knew it wouldnt last at all so they decided to adopt as its like (leasing a car) if things go wron they can give the kid back.

For example your really rich and your partner says lets get a place do you buy it or rent incase things go wrong!

 

It's clearly option 3. Celebs are notorious media whores.

While it'd be nicely if it was purely 'a' - its most likely because certain celebs live in their own little bubble with a deluded view of the world.

"Honey, do they do kids in Macy's? ...No?... Alright, book me a flight to Africa!"

I'm sure there are those with motives as pure as any regular person or persons who choose to adopt; but when you look at the lengths some people go to for media coverage, you have to question that.

 

I think it gotta be real cool to have celebs adopt you. Too bad I'm too old to be adopted. I want Angelina Jolie to be my mom

 

A lot of it is publicity, but you also have to factor in lost wages due to pregnancy. If an A-list actress has to give up 2 movie roles during her pregnancy, that might be $20 million or more she's giving up.
