What if everyone was right?

If everyone was right that would be very stupid! Some of us are wrong in the Religion we hold dear.

What proof do you have for yourself, that your religion or lack of religious belief is true. Just because you don't believe doesn't mean you won't be judged.

My proof for myself is:

1. Nothing like the Bible has ever been written, as far as a record of how the World was created, predictions for the futures of many generations through time, and been correct, through time.

2. The miraculous things I've seen from fasting and praying to Jesus as the Bible instructed me, and that's a big one for me because it assures me that the Bible is interactive unlike most other religions that just have a dead book.

Such as when my father was in the hospital, and the nurse told me he would not make it and that I should get on a plane and come see him while I still had a chance. I didn't except that! I fasted for 3 days crying and praying to GOD to give my dad a third chance, this had already happened before. Everyone was mad at me for not going to Atlanta with them to see my dad. But I knew what I was doing. I felt that there lack of faith would weaken my strength. My dad made it, the doctor said he could not believe it. He had not seen this happen before! And there are more miraculous things from fasting and prayer as well...

3. I can see just how the things The Bible said will happen near the end are going to be able to come to pass. Such as the mark of the beast, nobody being able to buy or sell with out the mark. Computers could be the only way to keep track of any counterfiet marks. As far as the prophets that will be killed and be seen dead in the street by the World, and rise agian in 3 days, thats something only satilite can provide. There is more for me I will continue as the thread moves on..

But what proof do you have for yourself from your religion?

 

A muslim or any other religious guy could say the exact same thing as your 1, 2 and 3. Its not proof.
You think that only one is right, thats wrong. What if all is wrong?

 

No other religion can say the same thing.
1. Their books have no valid predictions.
2. None explain from the beggining of time to the end of it.
3. And I haven't heard a peep of a miracle contributed to GOD in other religions.

I'm sure everyone trusts their religion or their lack of religion, my question is why? State the reasons here.

 

You have to understand other religions to compare them, you only understand one of them. Learn about the others, then come back here and discuss.

 

I have studied what other religions say. Thats why I made this thread.
So they can explain what proof they have, other than I just believe.

 

I don't see how what you posted is proof. 1 and 3 are not proof and 2 is chance, you're lucky the doctors were incorrect that your dad would die or I think you would regret not going to see him.

 

There are many different Religions and I respect the people who believe in each of them so I cannot say anything about most of them because i do not have the knowledge but I will say this:

My bible is the traditional King James version and one of the things that keeps me believing is that it has never been caught in a lie!!

If there is anything or anyone that can prove this false, please tell me!!!!

 

A lot of things which Quran told us 1400 years ago are getting proved today with 100% accuracy. Keeping in mind that, it was not possible a man without advanced scientific tools to tell those things, this make me believe that this must be the word of Allah/God/Creator.

This is my reason to believe in Quran and in turn Islam.

Same with Bible, a lot of things told there tens of thousands years ago are getting proved today with accuracy. This make me believe that Bible is also from God. And since Quran is, you can say, latest release of religion from God, so I believe and follow it.

 

Now the OP was Proof for me.
The next replies should be some doubts and some off topic rhetoric, I expected that, but the question is what proof do others have for themselves.

Not whether or not my proof for me is proof for all.

But still, not one person has listed proof for themselves.
Someone has to have some way GOD has given them proof that HE will do mighty things for them. You know, giving them comfort, by HIS Presents and Power. Thats all I'm asking folks. Your proof to you does not need to prove anything to anyone else, in fact I doubt it will. But it's proof for YOU.
And I would like to know what it is.

I understand totally.

But no other book has done it before the Bible, so any book after that just repeated what was written before, would be invalid of original prediction.

 

And to the OP, God promised in the Quran to protect and preserve the Quran.

You can see that, Muslims get divided into many denominations like Shia, Sunni and this happened just after a couple hundred years of death of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), but Quran is unchanged even after 1400 years. And it is the biggest miracle of Quran, for me.

There are some other surprising things like predictions and stuff, which I can post if anyone is curious.

Thats the way I feel

 

1. Soul cannot be made of matter and hence burning in hell for eternity is just absurd. (Just ask your preacher what is soul made of , is it matter or energy or something else ? )
Also what happened to people's soul who was alive before your bible was written?

2. That is just coincidence, else none will ever die since prayer and fasting will save them everytime

3. The third world war might happen between 2020-2025 not because your bible predicted it but because hatred among the nations and religions will reach boiling point by that time.
and you will not see anyone coming to save you.

 

1. I would not ask my preacher what my soul is made of, The Bible clearly states my soul and all others were made from the breath of GOD.
2. Of course fasting and prayer does not save all, if it's your time that's it. But God does answer prayers, for His own reasons.
3. The third World war will happen because the Bible predicted it.

My evidence that god doesn't exist is this.
While you may believe he gave your dad another chance, he hasn't seen fit to give rain to Africa, Even though i'm sure there are people there praying and crying a lot harder than you did, and he hasn't seen fit to give an amputee his arm or leg back, Even though im sure there has been an amputee who has cried and prayed a lot harder than you did. So unless you believe that you are your dad are in some way more deserving than Africans or amputees we have to assume that nothing happens as a result of prayer and your dad just happened to get better.

And honestly, If i was one of those doctors, Next time you can to the hospital id kick you out. How disrespectful to throw their hard work and compassion back in their faces and claim that you and your god are responsible for your dads recovery. Yeah, I'm sure it wasn't the advanced medical treatment and drugs they gave your dad that cured him, It was you and your little chat with the invisible man in the sky. I find this kind of self-congratulatory delusion despicable.
