Best Way to Promote New Directory?

    Spend spend spend money money money.

    Get that PR, get that traffic. People will come and they will submit.

    Signatures, Avatars, Posts and Threads, Directories, Blogs all but to name a few.

    Long Term:

    I would say that you build your network among directoy owners and other fellow webmaster in forums..

    A good reputation among peers goes a long way to promote you directory by work of mouth (which is FREE)

    Immediate:

    You could start by free directory and article submissions and the way i like it, create good content beyong the directory and hit hard on the social bookmarking scene (lot of people do free stumbles and digg at DP)
