I see light at the end of the tunnel.....google does accept bidding directories

Now, remember how the select few of you on DP don't trust bidding directories.

You think google will ban them all, like it banner the dollar linking site.

Well guys i am please to tell you i noticed the first PR update this morning

    www.dollarlinking.com

the bidding directory that got removed of its PR is now PR5. I checked on digpagerank and its valid. I guess as the PR update continues PR will spread to inner pages.

Only problem is, the traffic is almost non existant, so even if guys like Chris who invested a lot get PR juice back, the traffic won't be worth the investment.

I guess the owner may start to promote it more if google has given its PR back.

Who knows it may have never got banned? some times planning with .htaccess also results in such things happening that google doesn't index you or Ban you for sometime.

anyways congratulations to the owner and investors! :)

it never got banned. Just given PR0 when it used to have high PR

everyone thought it was because google didnt approve of bidding dirs.

But anyway, google gives PR6 to word clouds which are ultimate spam farms, im sure bidding dirs. will be acceptable.

There should be no reason for Google to ban any bidding web directory.

A bidding directory should be seen by Google as a means of web advertising on a top spot and nothing else.

What the webmaster sees this as is a totally different story altogether - the PR they gain, the traffic they gain etc. This is just natural to get this in return for this type of advertising on one site.

Now Word Clouds. Yes, there's something to look out for. Old domains with PR that are living for the moment. Still, always worth a shot as there are alot of genuine ones out there.

Google can't find whether directory is a bidding directory or General directory!

the only way they can find is by means of title .

PR only depends upon back links and not on any other thing!

    Hello...

Bidding directories are fine as im on one that was a PR6 but got lowered to a PR2 so that in itself tells me that they are OK... and nothing has been banned.

    thx
