[2007] Forum Signatures : Very good result!

With my experience in link building I have noticed that forum signatures are very good in SEO.They help to get very good SERP and they are also considered as backlinks.


What you think ?

I am getting good backlinks from forum sigs especially from DP forum. I have posted my website to predict the PR by one of the DP member. This page was listed immediately by google.

 

Priya i have to agree with you, Sig links works amazing for me. I am No1 for one very high competitive keyword.

I've also seen incredible results from forum sig links. One of my competitors had 1500 links from one forum and it was kicking my butt around until I caught up (which goes to show you, never stop link building, your competitors won't)

Forum signature backlinks are a huge source of backlinks. I agree with evpstud, even 1000s of backlink from one forum can do wonders for your site. One should always remember to use targeted keywords as your anchor text.

 

HI since we are talking abt forums here can we have some good forums like digitalpoint where one can post the signatures.

 

They are pretty hopeless for SEO, but worth it for the few clicks.

I think links in your signature do help to some degree. I am just not sure how much.

Sig`s are helphul - ok , but i have a question ... lets imagine that i write posts in 2 Threads ... and in every thread i post 3 replys ... whats that mean? How backlinks have then? 2? 6? 1?

I'm starting to be skeptical about sig links. When I run a backlink check that shows the PR of the backlink, DP's sig links all show as N/A. So if that's accurate, and each link derives its juice from the topic page rather than the main forum, how can it be helping?
As far as SERPs go, one of my sites dropped off for the anchor keyword I use, after being at seven or so. Not a big deal, as I can target better keywords, but does anyone know why this would be?
I'm concerned that identical anchors from the same domain might be triggering some kind penalty related to that keyword. Not hard to imagine, really...but everyone raves about DP sig links. As it is, I want my money back...but the only sig I have is my own, so I'll just have to lump it.

 

DP sigs get the new site indexed VERY FAST

 

I would still like to hear an answer to Post #15 from Linderman.

I think that is utter rubbish. The most a sig link will do is help the page get indexed. Google aren't going to see a sig link as an authoritative link.

Links are about quality, Not quantity.
