If the domain has no indexed pages, back links, page rank in google, does that means the domain is banned by google?

It doesn't mean its already banned by google if there's no back links. Its just happen if the certain link you post is not neccessary or not useful with the topic or thread.

if you have no pages indexed by google (and you used to have) that means your site is banned!

What makes you think its is?

First thing is you would see ( 0 ) results when you did a site:domain.com command

when you search google with site:domain.com, if it has no indexed page, this can mean 2 thinks.

    * domain is banned from google
    * domain is too new (like days or or one week)

Sphinks is correct, if the site had indexed pages and doesn't anymore, it's a ban.

Has the webmaster been violating Google rules such as mirror pages, etc.?
What is the name of the domain so people in the forum can check it out for you. If it is rather new, for example it came online after the last update, then just wait til the next update.

It is 2 years old site, has 300+ indexed pages and 3000+ back links in yahoo.
But there is no result in google, so I wonder is it banned by google.

Most likely, especially if you don't even see any result for your domain URL. There is no other explanation.

It only would say you are likely banned.

Seems only google would know whether it is banned or not

Sign up for the google sitemaps / webmaster tools and you can find out for certain.

If you are - you can use https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/reinclusion?hl=en

It does actually work as long as you correct any problems.

    Possible innocent problems
    - duplicate content
    - incorrect redirects
    - robots.txt problems
    - custom 404 page that doesn't send the correct error header (this happened to me before)
