Finding auto pictures

Can someone recommend some good sources of car pictures that you can use on your websites?

 

I just went to istockphoto and did a search on car - there were 35K results.

So for around $1 per image it is a good source for LEGAL images to use on your website.

Let me see, there are heaps of other microstock sites where you can get images from as well, so there are probably upwards of 100K images that are available for only a $ or 2.

I just drop by the local dealerships with my Nikon D40.

hmm bad grammer, anyways i use a non watermark collection.
i get many many pictures, so i put them on my site, everybody is free to use it.

I have tried istockphoto but they lack pictures of many of the models I am looking for.

Be careful with car pictures - have known people who got into trouble for using a picture of a car bought from istockphoto as the car manufacture argued they retained copyright on the vehicle.

Why not just contact the car companies and ask for promo photos for the makes/ models you require?

 

So if i collect auto pictures from free sites am i under legal trouble??
