Do you know if those clicks are US? Maybe they are from India ... so of course it's paid less or not paid at all. And yes, I agree with EvcRo ... another one abusing the kwd )
M8 it's simple, you can't blag google any more. There are currently 13,500,000 competeing for great SERPS for mesothelioma. Google wants to show the best quality site it can so if your site is new, hot linked, Dupe content, MFA then your gonna get poor returns, it's called "smart pricing" EVCRo is right actually $1.87 for 2 clicks is spotty dog. If your site falls into the categories listed previously though expect those numbers to come down as they analyse the quality of your traffic.
Do you mean that if my site has a high PR with lots of traffic and inbound links, then the PPC for that keyword increases ?
The Rates Have Gone Down. People Using This Keypwrd For Spamming Purpose Are On All Time Rise. So There Is A Check On These And Rates Are Going Down
Try this article it is one of the best i've found about smart pricing http://www.jensense.com/archives/2005/10/one_poorly_conv.html I found it when I was trying to find out if your smart priced it affects your whole account, NIGHTMARE particulalry if you have a hundred sites as it's VVV difficult to find out which site triggered smart pricing. Things to consider are, is your page rank high as a result of quality backlinks from sites related to your niche, or article repositories (not much value) free directories (not much either, but not too bad). Does the content of your site offer value to the user. If this is the case the chances are the click of an adsense link may result in some transaction, therefore increasing the value of your advertising. I have no idea how Google calculates all this but who actually knows much about anything they do??
When i first heard about adsense thats what i did was try to find a site with high paying keywords I saw websites that told me I could get $50 a click for certain words....I know that is very incorrect now. The biggest click I have had so far was $3.20
Dont believe those sites which say $10 -$20 for mesothelioma keywords. I too ran a blog Maximum got was $0.84
Google pays less of a percentage on high paying keywords. I ran a mesothelioma blog once. My average click was around $1-3.
How many people have actually suffered from mesothelioma? There's no way the market could support such lucrative keywords (which of course means big money being spent on advertising) for a illness that is very rare, even if each patient (and their lawyers) can make millions of dollars from lawsuits. With tens of millions of pages suddenly targeting this one keyword, the prices were bound to go way down.
Oh gawd, don't you know that "mesothelioma" is last month's hot keyword. You are soooo behind. This month, it's "fibromyalgia" but get on it quick before everyone else. Create your MFA site and make millions.
From my experience , i can tell you that google pays a lower percentage for the high paying ads. I may be wrong though, adsense is not a big income for me so i did not bother to do too much research on this market.
