So my next question now is do bidding directories just accept sites or does it review it before acceptance. Is it accepting sites as per REVIEW or as a PAID LINK. Does it review sites of quality or does it generally accepts any sites just because it has a higher bid amount of money ? Again theres no heated argument here. I am just trying to prove a point so that the message goes across and they could know about it.
well it would be better if you start new thread for that question My answer is, two of my bid directories not automatically approve thus I will review each submission and reject and refund if the site is not according to guidelines. Even on my other directory is auto approve, I will remove the link and make a refund.
That is web master preference. There are no default standards, It's kind of like how you talk about quality sites and standards of those you accept in your directory, and yet, you've added sites with literally no listings and/or no content whatsoever. case(s) in point: http://www.dirsensei.com/wide-web-directory-link-4191.html http://www.dirsensei.com/search-index-directory-link-4232.html Try and practice what you preach so as not be caught with the 'pot calling the kettle black'. So much for that editorial integrity you were so badly trying to spew across CReed's thread. Take this into consideration prior to spewing your hypocrisy around the forums: "people who live in glass houses should not throw stones"
Why are you so angry anon ? Didnt I say I will take off everything after update ? Your shooting me again and I am just asking questions so now I have to report you again for harrasment.
I am not alang. I was asking because I need you guys to answer it fairly as pros and cons. While everyone is being watched now by Matt Cutts I was trying to be nice to have all bid directories give their side. I was trying to implore was a non biased question but I was personally attacked ? And I wasnt even mentioning him.
I understand your intention thats the reason why I answer you nicely. We are all adults here so I think we should discuss as an adult
An answer has been given and also a definitive as to what others would consider editorial integrity(one for which they do NOT stand by), so... You can report harassment, as there is none. There is no name calling no subliminal wording and just plain facts which can be acquired and quoted if need be from a previous thread. Carry on... as i'm certain 'uncle popo' will call symrl. But if symrl reads the discussion, i'm certain she will see there is nothing wrong with anyone's posts in this thread.
Please stick to the topic. This is not a popotalk thread. This is about bidding directories and I for one would like to hear what my peers have to say and/or think with regards to the OP's question. So to quickly answer you, before I head out for a bit; To be obsessed with anyone, and care about what they say, they'd have to be worthwhile and honest and not blame their daughters for having a crush on me and getting mad for talking to colleen before deleting my paid submissions. sorry for you. Hope to have some more good insight when I return. This thread was a good read until popotalk tried to take it of course.
Look whos talking. I was here and was trying to talk about bid directories. Please go back to your lpost and read how you attack me. Now you take my daughter here in this thread ? Let me tell you this buddy I removed your link at my directories because I payed for the deeplinks and other services you put your links there. Modus. Now back to topic. All I was saying that the thread is reported already at MattCutts Blog and are all over some forums being discussed. So it was a way for you guys to explain your position.
Well, if you guys are talking about whether bidding directories are gambling or not based on losing the position, I think this can happen to any other normal directories except word cloud sites. Many directories typically list in order of either: PR Date (descending) Alphabet So, when one buys a link, he should know he may lose the spot, wherever he thinks/expects/predicts his link to be placed, at any time as I don't think there is a directory that guarantees submitters' link positions. To me, gambling is not just about taking risk. It also includes taking a risk to lose something. You don't lose your link in a bidding directory. Your link gets listed as long as you bid. You only lose the position, and I am not sure if this is a gambling factor. Even a submitting a link to a directory itself is gambling then if you count "all risk factors". You never know if your link gets approved or not
Here is small joke : User A : Fight Fight Fight !!!! User B : Where Where Where ????? User A: ^^^^^^^ Up there you blind ?? muahaaa Moral : Stop fighting at dp, just ask for each others address, and settle this once and for all, using katana or samurai sword, if you 2 cannot get hold of a Ak47
once again paidhosting save the day Where is the OP lol, seems like he already achieve his purpose to make directory owners fighting so this thread should be close now.
Wow...I have an agenda against directory owners? I think not, infact I borderline worship directory owners...all jokes aside I rely on quality directories for SEO; I didn't state anything about gambling..in fact I don't think this should ever be called gambling. Let's not throw that term around so carelessly. It was a legitemate question; you ever bid on your own e-bay item to jack up the price, or at least understand the idea behind it? It's even worse for the bid directories because a) if your outbid you still lose money, unlike other auctions where you simply don't win b) no way of telling who has outbid you on these bid directories (or is there?) c) the bid directory owner knows you want that specific anchor text and might want to take advantage by jacking up your bid Conclusion: I'm not saying all bid directory owners do this or even 1%, but the fact you have to rely completely on a stranger's moral integrity is a frightening to say the least. Gambling? Absolutely not...Risky as hell? Yes. If you know of any good bid directories or own one plz pm me as I wouldn't mind going through credible ones.
Well, if your link is accepted, yours get listed. So, you didn't lose your money for your link being listed. Or you assume your money was invested for the position rather than inclusion? Like I said above, no directory probably guarantees your position anyway. So this risk factor exists in any directory except word cloud directories. Some bid directories let you know it via email. This is one of those issues concerning with trustworthiness in directory owners. It's becoming probably the most important factor for submitters to pay money for inclusion to a directory these days. Thanks popo. You made me chuckle. So because you gave an0n some money for his mods, that therefore gives you the right to remove paid listings? So if i was a shop owner, and you bought some food from me, i would then get my listings in your directory removed? jesus...
