Dvd Ripper?

Hello. I'm looking for a freeware DVD ripper that I can use to get some video off a DVD for use in a client's Powerpoint. The DVD is of a lecture, so I'm assuming it was created using some kind of over-the-counter DVD software rather than a commercial company using rights protection and whatnot (in any event, he has the necessary copyright permissions).

I have Premiere, so I just need to get the video into a format that I can either import directly into PP or get into Premiere and then edit and export for PP.

Any advice on a good piece of freeware to get this done? There's a bunch of rippers here, but I don't want to waste time playing around with different programs if someone else has done so already and found one that works.

DVD Shrink is pretty good, and works very well with Nero. Its free too

 

Thanks for the tip--do you know what format(s) Dvd Shrink rips into? It says that it uses compresion, but doesn't say if it's DivX or something like that.
