I started an adsense blog about 2 months ago. Currently it has over 100 quality posts. I have bought $50 worth of links for the blog, that is my budget for it. I have bought 120 directory submissions for it. Yet i am only recieving 50 impressions a day from it, and making nothing with adsense. It is search engine optimized. Everything is done as best as it can. I need some serious advice? Please be specific Im seriously contemplating stopping my internet career.
What do u mean? Still the traffic is poor, so im not going to get any. The traffic is crap, adsense is crap. i think its all over for me. I have put 8 hours every day of the year into my websites and nothing to show for it.
Hi joey, Visit your website again from the customers point of view. 50 unique(?) visits per day is a negligible figure, if not good. Regarding your site, the ads really pop-up to your eyes, it makes the page look like "Made-just-for-adsense". Secondly, your blog name is really too large, thus preventing returning visitors. Your niche is AdSense, how can you expect people to keep reading your page if you're bad at it itself. I see a lot of content there, quality or not, i've not read it. But 100+ posts is really a lot of work. What can you do right now to increase your coversions? 1) Change the background color, please. Keep it something smooth, when a person visits your page, there should be a soothing effect on them. Put yourself in the visitors shoes. Keep it white, change your template. 2) Blend your AdSense colours with your newly-made page, don't keep Ad's at your header, might just end up driving your visitors away. Sidebar, okay, but use a vertical AD there. I know rectangle's covert better, but that AD placement is absolutely outrageous. Noone can possibly click on it. 3) Use Adsense for search in your sidebar, and induce people into using it. You get my drift. 4) Use vertical link units just before your blog archive. .. And lots more.. try searching the internet for REAL Adsense guides. Like Nystul said, people who are searching for information about AdSense, seldom click on AdSense Ad's. If your site is good, you might get good clicks. adsenseschool.com, lots of good tips, plus you can get loads of inspiration for your site from them.
Heh, most of the self-proclaimed gurus do actually lie to people. However, I don't blame the topic starter for that, such things actually work, but how can someone expect people to believe those things when you actually flaunt such a poor adsense site.
Yep, you're bragging about thousands of $ but you're not making a dime with adsense. Stop bragging and giving advices, then you'll have more visitors and more clickers
Im actually not writing the content. I am in charge of the outlays of the sites. Me and my colleague work in partnerships. How is the site looking now?
It's still braggy. And people are tired and frustrated about that kind of sites. Should write something more useful to them. But than again you are not in charge of that...
Looks better than the previous one, because it goes easy on the eyes this time. Anyways, read my previous suggestions, try 'em, and post here for comments/reviews.. Btw, add adsense for search, and those Ad's are going 'out-of-the-page', really gives a bad impression if your site is about Adsense. If you're NOT that well-versed in placing ads, I recommend you to go for affiliate programs. Ask your partner to write content and promote affiliate programs. Like they say - SOMETHING is better than NOTHING. PS: Change your template, and register yourself a domain - keep the name short though. PPS: If your partner writes the content, he should be well-versed in adsense. Still don't get it.
To be honest, it looks spammy. Also, as someone stated above, people who read this type of site do not click on Adsense ads dude. In a nutshell, they're "in the know" and the ads served up do not interest them. Pick a different niche, preferrably one with "uneducated" visitors. Also, put the blog on it's own domain. TxDon
