Waiting in that category? If not, then there is no comparison, as each unreviewed list is a different one. If yours is in category_X then that has nothing to do with category _Y or _Z.

My guess would be that some editor with a fancy button passed by and approved all without bothering to even look at the list.

YAY 4 METAs & teh APPROVE ALL button!

And then they brag about total edits. Well, if the same one gets it thats 2 edits under their belt, and for what? Listing spam...

Did you submit in 2006 or 2007? If it was before the start of this year, then you may want to try again as with the big bang hat happened there they lost it all...

What site by the way? (feel free to PM it)

The way its looking i wont even get in to my local towns business category that contains only 1 other listing.

The quality of DMOZ has really gone to the pack over the past 2 years.

Currently, google can not really tell a link because someone likes something and a link because someone does not like something. I'd wager that the majority of the links over the last two years fit in the latter, but still apply to "quality links" in the eyes of the google bot...

Speaking of quality, it is the largest, that is not in dispute... but it should be, in all cases, QUALITY over QUANTITY. I sometimes wonder how it would compare if all the porn, spam, and dead links were removed...

Join as an editor, if you are up to it, and then you can list the sites you think fit the cats best.

Join as an editor,i guess that will not be easy.DMOZ is lack of editors, guess, you might have to submit a lot of your site & just got few of them proved if you are lucky.Do not give it up,always try submitting:D

You need three sites, and you can include your own, to offer to the category you are applying to. The sites have to be titled and described according to our guidelines. Tell the truth about your interest iN ODP and the category you have applied for, also your affiliations. Also ensure that you pick a small category if you get on well with it you can then ask for more responsibility in larger categories.

If you were implying that people should offer the same site to the directory repeatedly, that is not a good idea, it puts it to the bottom of the list.

I find it kinda strange that that dmoz link to one page that is of interest to the directory topic. While the rest of the site (not Dmoz) of little to do with freestyle soccer.

Please don't be misled by the lack of detail in that statement.

We ask for two or three example websites so that you can show us how well you can find suitable ones for the category. You won't be doing that if you only offer associated ones and so the application will likely be declined.

Three examples are better than two.
Not more than one should be an associated one.
Editor guidelines compliant titles and descriptions are more likely to impress the metas.
