So im sitting here browsing DP (Its 01:32 here) when i hear a bit of noise outside. I look out of the window and i see two lads standing by my dad's car. The second they saw me they started walking away (Towards the dead end). So i (I had a few to drink tonight) grab a knife and get out to check it out. The wing mirrors are missing! The car is covered in spit... By that time my neighbour got out. It turns out they stole his wheely bin too. So we go after them and... They are gone!!! I mean... why on earth would you do this? FFS fucking idiots... Excuse my language...

Yep, not here in UK. Iv been stabbed before and they never found them. Iv been mugged before and they never found them. So we did not even bother getting police involved for £50 worth of damage. The knife was a dumb idea though.
I live in Kings hill, fairly posh area in kent lol, but on Christmas Eve Last year my car was broken into on my drive and all my sound system was stolen. Insurance replaced it all but the annoying thing was i don't have a clue who it was.

We're all glad that you didn't need to use that knife! But if they got away with it, they will probably do it again, and eventually they will get caught. You may never know who did it, and you may not get your justice, but they will get what they deserve in the end.

I don't think that line of defence would have worked - you went equipped so arguably had the intent (that's how some smart arse lawyer would see it). I can understand you wanting to knife the little bastards though - if the Police had caught them they'd probably get away with a caution.
