Do blog sites automatically crawled by spiders?

Hi guys! I'm just new here and I'm wondering, do blog sites automatically crawled by spiders? If so, how does it work? Thanks!

 

I think blogspot & wordpress (on those sites) do get spidered automatically, yeah. If not, please someone chime in.

I'm also interested in how often blogs on these sites are re-crawled.

 

yes, they crawl (if they have backlinks). but they dont rank good because of duplicate content

 

Actually, they're treated as regular Web sites by the search engines. If they're not ranking well it's probably because the quality of the content on those sites is lacking.

 

In Blogger setting there is an option "Ping Send" if you "ON" this option your blog can be crawl quickly...

 

You can also use the following sites to let blog spiders know you updated and they will come and crawl your site

You should get crawled within hours to a few days

 

finally, someone who understands that google only sees html and text....they don't see "blogs" or treat them any different than other sites

Pingomatic is also good.
First your blog will come on http://blogsearch.google.com when indexed first time and then it will come on the main google.com search.

 

autopinger is also a good one, but if you want your blog to get easily crawled, blogger and wordpress are good ones to try...

 

They don't get crawled by bots just because they are blogs- bots visit them like any other site. In some cases, the frequency of the bots' visits is greater in the case of blogs, because content tends to be added frequently, in comparison to a static site

 

I think blog that have good quality back links crawled quickly.
