    Hello All:

We are looking for bidding directories that are interested in trading bids with our high traffic bid directory, BountyWorld.

We would be willing to trade a $20 bid in our directory for a $10 bid in your directory!

If you are interested, just submit your bid at BountyWorld and then PM us your link so we can submit ours.

Absolutely no way is this a good idea.

If you want to (a) instantly devalue your bidding site & (b) piss off a lot existing clients, go ahead and trade. eBay have a term for this, shill bidding, and the definition applies to bidding directories as well.

Since everyone thinks this is a bad idea... we will shut this one down.

Not sure how it is any different than people giving bids away, but oh well.

    We will shut this down.

    Offer closed.

I will NEVER BID ON BOUNTYWORLD

to get rank 1, i would have to pay so much, because you tripled the bids on the sites a few weeks ago. So un-ethical and unprofessional.

    I would disagree.

We surely are not unethical. Everyone had the chance to take part in the limited offer. And MANY (if not most) directories run specials.

It really is not different than when a fast food restaurant runs a buy one, get one free deal on a sandwich. It is not sneaky or unethical. It is just marketing.

With all of that said, I respect everyone's opinion.

    "Everyone had the chance"

So if i go on vacation for the week, or do not even know DP exists, i still have the chance? yeah sure.

When a supermarket runs a promo, it wont affect anyone else in the future. When i want to bid to rank 1 on your site it DOES affect me. it means i have to pay a lot more.....

If thats your idea of marketing, it makes me laugh. You have a pretty rubbish alexa rank, and i will love to see what PR you get this update. I have spent over $5000 on my bidding directory. Just my opinion but as an owner of a quality bidding directory myself i think i have the right to say what i think.

    @wasabiventures

If this is your idea of getting bids on your site. you have surely come to a wrong place.

There is a thread about "Ethics of Bidding directory" and I seriously suggest you to read it.

(Can someone post the link?? I cant find it )

    Guys:

    Just let it go.

I get your points. We understand them.

If you don't want to bid in BountyWorld ever, that is your prerogative.

I respect everyone's opinion and value everyone's feedback. We won't run any more specials on BountyWorld (or any of our upcoming bid directories).
