2000 targeted visitors = 5 sales.

I have started a PPC campaign for www.satellitetvtopc.com
I have paid for over 2000 clicks in two days, and only made 5 sales!
I am loosing serious money soon.

The statistics from the PPC company is identical to the statistics from ClickBanks new Beta Analytics.

Are you guys getting similar sales on targeted traffic or is the product website simply a disaster.

    Thanks

i am assuming YSM as google doesnt allow this product and other PPC engines dont produce this much traffic

how much are you spending per click?

    5 sales = $169.50
so to make a profit you need clicks costing 8c or less

also beware of refunds... im seeing 10% return rate! arrh

obviously the traffic isn't THAT targeted...or you just got really unlucky.

however, after 2000 visitors with such a low conversion ratio I'd blame the quality of the traffic...

Have you thought of making a splash page with some sort of offer to try to build a list? That way, even if you aren't getting the purchases, you are still giving yourself an opportunity to market to your sign-ups. Just a thought.

Good point about the splash page.
I have my ad setup like this:

    Satellite TV to PC!
Over 3000+ Channels, No Monthly Payments!
    Only 49,95$ Instant Access!

I thought having the priced named in the ad to be a good way to only attract people who are ready to pay and not looking for a free service.
    Am I right?

Yeah, typically the more information in your ad copy, the better...especially if it is costing you for those "tire kickers" that are just looking for free stuff...

im promoting the same thing.. my ad mentions there are no monthly fees.. but i dont mention a price.. this give me a great CTR.. which allows me to bid less.. so it kind of evens out.

im also building an email list so i get something for my clicks if they dont want the product im advertising... I try to sell similar products through email.

Building the list is the most important thing you should do, You are promting their program, the visitors are YOURS.

Unless the program has a real good conversioan rate use a splash page to capture and send em on to the merchant. Gets yours first.

If I had received results like that I would have moved on by now, but don't forget that some have 30 days cookies and things so you may get some more sales, just your customer may be deciding whether to purchase or not.

I dont actually believe in 30 days cookies or even 60 days. I dont think anyone will buy from the same website after couple of days. Or may be Im wrong! I usually dont expect any sales from the websites I stopped promoting.

tweak your traffic (get more targeted)

tweak ad copy to improve conversions on your landing page, and consider creating a squeeze page to capture e-mail addresses.
