ok lets go for the keyword korali at G.com 1.pr3 2.pr0 3.pr1 4.pr3 5.pr2 6.pr2 7.pr1 8.pr0 9.pr3 what pr the number 2 site will have?????
For gods sake its PR is N/A not 0 - which is what im trying to look at: The top for that on my search were the following: 1.3 2.N/A 3.N/A 4.3 5.2 6.1 7.2 So yea, my opinion would be that the PR for those sites would be 3....yes?? But certainly not a PR of 5 or 6. Do you see what im trying to say?
pr is only one little factor of your ranking. google use pr, number of BL, quality of BL, keyword density of your pages and other many factors to rank your site in search results.
Both are different aspects they can't be compare. I check my one of the site as you said with one keyword from above listed website I saw they have lesser PR than me still they are on a top.
The PR does not have anything to do with SERP, so your theory is wrong. It would be too simple...hehe
There is a big difference between "PR has 100% NOTHING has to do with SERP" and "PR is ONE of ranking factors". When PR0 site gets on a top page, it's usually because targeted keywords are not competitive. *let me also remind you that competitive keywords and search result pages don't always match. Allinanchor and allintitle results pages are high, you can know if the keywords are competitive or not
I see what you're saying. Those sites would need more backilinks than the sites below them to they should have a higher PR. Seems logical but it ignores other factors like age and onpage SEO. For less competitive keywords, those factors may play a more significant role than for the competitive keywords where onpage SEO would be maximized. So for more competitive keywords you might have something there.
And the "Page" in Page rank => Larry Page so does it mean that PageRank tells us how Larry ranks his or our pages? p.l.u.r.
After 2 pages of discussion no one got to bottom of this question, so let me try and explain.. 1) PR is one of the factor in ranking pages. However its just ONE of the many, so its not the only. 2) You checked PR of the sites above you, but did you check PR of that specific page or homepage PR? That page which is ranking higher is more relevant that its homepage. 3) You need to check how many backlinks are pointing to that page. 4) you need to check how many backlinks are pointing with the exact anchor text (check allinanchor:yourkeyword in google) 5) How competitive is that keyword? 6) Keyword density on page and relevancy to overall niche of the site. These are some of the things considered when ranking a page. However I hope it helps OP and others.
Hi everyone, To get high ranking on google there is a very easy method GOOGLE ADWORD...........................Because money talks
Good post godmode I do know what to look for but I just wanted a quick check from people to see if there was any pattern at all. Apparently most people think PR has nothing to do with serps I know what Im getting at its just a shame most of you dont
PR influences page indexing, if you have a high pagerank, most/all of your pages will get indexed promptly, if not, it may miss a few out.
This is stupid, the most important factor is the ANCHOR TEXT. Do you really think if i have 10xPR10 backlinks with the anchor text "stupid fool" and wind up PR9 i'm going to rank well for "idiot"? A PR1 with 10xPR1 backlinks containing the anchor "idiot" is going to rank higher for that term then my PR9. Pagerank means basically nothing when it comes to Search Rankings
Omg how many time are people going to post the same stuff without reading the posts. 1. I know PR is only one of the factors when it comes to SERP's (and it IS A FACTOR) 2. Obviously things link backlinks, anchor text, content matters but i didn't say they didn't 3. This is just a little test I thought up in a spare 2 minutes to satisfy my mind - not a debate about PR! 4. I don't have a gun pointed at your head - you don't have to post in here - just click back
