    Thats great....
But STILL that doesnt answer my question.. I want to know YOUR opinion. While I consider you an EXPERT of U.S. Constitution.

I know every question has its answer written in some book somewhere.. But that is not what discussion is about, is it?

Or you its just that you dont have any answer.

    how about the communication survailance
    search and seizure without warrant
sending people to countries that they know people are being tortured
these are the sort of things that you expect a dictatorship to do
certainly not within what the US has stood for long
if you leave in a mature democratic country these might seem to be an exception to the rule but if you are in a country like saudi arabia these are the green light for abusing your citizens
by the way being accused of something is not the same as being guilty.
at least in pre bush US
when bush kissed saudi king in public and held his hand it sent a message to all of the kingdom that bush supports their dictator and not democracy.

How many 'really Innocent' victims do you know of such acts?
Not sure what you mean here...
No these are the things I'd expect from a govt. worried about the security of citizens..
Unless you are a person who believes in conspiracy theories and believes that 9/11 was insiders job, and all the reported terrorists attacks and activities are govt fed hoaxes to its people.
I live in a mature democratic country that is affected of terrorism long before US had got affected. And I know the needs of such laws and their effects.

everyone is innocent till proven guilty
the iranian government is also saying that they are trying to protect their people from the evil americans and that is why they have to put people in jail and execute them.!!!!!
it is not an acceptable reasoning in my mind for them and it is not acceptable in my mind that bush wants to sacrifice the rule of law to "protect" the people
i do not belive in the conspiracy regarding 9/11 but the fact is in the 80s saudi and egyptian govts with the encouragment of US released all their criminal and political hardliners in afganistan. pakistani govt and CIA trained and armed these criminals to fight the soviets. after soviets left nobody did anything to disarm these people or help the afganestan. so we had a bunch of fanatics were given an unnatural power and they succede in taking control of afganistan. the radicalizarion of muslems can be attributed with the anti soviet policies of us in the 70 and 80s if you really look at it.

I'm really sorry sire, but those articles doesn't tell a thing about what law Bush has sacrificed..

Yeah the first article states an "OPINION" of "Bruce Fein" About Cheney..
And 2nd article is also titled as "Impeach Cheney" and offers NOTHING but some Opinions...

That is the problem, you don't get it. USA is not India and until now, it was not acceptable to torture or execute prisoners in custody. So may be you should familiar yourself with USA Constitution, culture and form of government before assuming that anything which i OK in India, should be good for USA too.

USA has already admitted to torturing prisoners and because of the secret nature of imprisonment programs it will be very hard to know if any one been executed but as I said India has done it which most likely you support. I suppose it is very hard for you to understand the culture and democratic principals that we value in North America because of cultural differences.

And how do you know that I support it? Did I say that I support killing and torturing people in custody?

As far as I remember I stated countless times that I'm against any kind of death penalty let alone the killing in custody. I strongly condemn it.

So I guess you are assuming imaginary things just to avoid the question I put again in front of you. That is not very unlikely, is it?

Plus I don't think we are discussing India here, are we?
Make a new thread about suspects being tortured and executed in custody in India and you'll find me voicing my opinion and condemning it..

So back to the topic.. can you answer the question please?

How can I explain to you that for people in North America rule of law, democratic principals, right to be charged for crime, have a defense lawyer and be able to defend yourself in court are important questions while you obviously don't know anything about these questions, US Constitutions and the culture?

if you are asking me that i can prove to u the crimes that they have committed
i have to say no since i am not a lawyer
mr fein a conservative and the person that wrote the first article odf impeachment against clinton and more than 50% of the country feel that either the president and/or vp should be impeached, hardly a partisan politician.
and they explain their reasoning as a monarchist attitude of the administration as one. i agree with them as i have seen how they have tried to avoid any investigation in their activities. they have also tried to marginalize every opposing view over the years.
they have managed to surround themselves with yes sir men and have made misjudgments in every step that they have taken
the return of ortega relations with chavez and the close election in mexico and other south american countries, the deteriorating relations with putin, return of taliban and the dangerous situation in pakistan and lack of progress in the iraq war all points to their incompetence at minimum.

Well my question was about those points..

Every President of US has used America's enormous military power in one way or another...

Take the example of Clinton who signed into law the Antiterrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act of 1996 (AEDPA), that contained the first limitations on habeas corpus since the Civil War. (And I'm not going in to history of American civil war)

Again every act Bush administration makes such as "Military Commissions Act" stripping the US federal courts of the jurisdiction to hear habeas corpus appeals, needs to be passed through the congress where his opposition controls it.

So how does it make him different from Other presidents?

Ok. I just thought a sweeping statement like "supporting peace & democracy" would encompass all citizens of the world & would surely focus on the countries with the biggest problems & would not give certain countries a pass. I now know you mean for Americans.

You quoted The Webmaster because you took issue with what he said & you felt it's up to the people of Iran to decide (which you can argue is true). However The Webmaster asked the above question because of Gworlds general statement about "supporting peace & democracy" but is only focusing on USA when he's a Canadian

i explained in my next reply my opinion as to the reason of the increase in anti American attitude in the world.
i quoted him because i am against anything that can be used to mascaraed as legitimate, any interference in Iranian internal affair. i think if we make this clear to them then we can come to a satisfactory conclusion in regard to their nuclear program.
