Hi, I'm looking for "the best" Competitive Ad Filter for Google Adsense, now i have one list but is not good enough, becuse there are still low pay clikcs (0,01$/click), so please past some your Competitive Ad Filters. Have a nice day Nejc
I use http://www.adsblacklist.com/, but I'm not sure how successful it's being. However, it did stop the 8 clicks for $0.04 problem I was having though.
Filtering probably don't help in increasing CPC, can do it even worse if you don't know what you are doing. You can guess a costs for particular ads, but if you filter only the most popular ones, probably you get worse results than by doing nothing.
I have started using the ads blacklist site today, looks promising how many urls can you add to google ads filter though? I though it was 200? The ads filter site can generate large lists but I dont see the point if google limits you
I was blocking some ads until I heard that ringtones ads were pretty competitive. I decided to give them another chance.
i will suggest the adsblcklist.com too. it's the most known and the best option to do. there is no better one
ads blacklist can't possibly know what ads are on your particular site, so the best way to do it is to build your own list. to start, get rid of everything that has: the word "all" in the url or maybe even ".info" in the url
adsblacklist does a good job. I double the little Adsense I got the first month in June. July was not good but it may be a seasonal thing. 200 is the limit now but Google should let us have more. My build was 350 site with the keywords I gave. Maybe when they remove many MFA like they mentioned, it may help.
because there are a whole bunch of mfa sites that start with the word "all"... they are usually named something like allthe??????.info other big mfa keywords include: "best" as in, best4sites.??? "five" as in, fivesites.com or fiveresults.com or review5.com "get" as in, getitfree.net that kind of trash doesn't have a product to sell, so they won't pay much for a click.
my july epc was really good, and i don't use ads blacklist... in the middle of the month it started getting weak, because there were a bunch of new crap advertisers in my adsense blocks... i got rid of 'em, which made the epc shoot up, and stay up. i look in my server logs for the busiest pages, then take the mfa trash urls off of those pages. remember that mfa sites come and go, so you have to regularly monitor your sites. how fresh are those ads black lists? pretty old, i bet.
I'm using a pretty big list with URLs to filter... Is that really that good to increase incomings? I think I will try disabling it for a couple of days to see what happens now I've got pretty high earnings....
exactly which server logs are you looking in? the list on ads block seems up to date, if you pay for thier premier plus service they can auto update the block list in your adsense account on a daily basis. I havent done that yet, I just have a standard account and do it by hand at the moment.
google analytics would be a good example of server logs that tell you which pages get viewed the most. 1 cent clicks can indeed indicate that there is a shortage of ad inventory, but it can also mean that google thinks that it can make more money serving up mfa ads that generate more clicks. google works on projected total earnings for an ad block, not just the earnings per click. 1 cent clicks could also show that google is serving up ads that are off-topic to your page content, so when people click on the ads, it doesn't convert for the advertiser... failure to convert is commonly known as "smart pricing". if you never look at your pages, how will you know if the ads are targeted or not? that's why ads black list is not a fix for anything.
