We have two wonderful music portals for sale.
The sites are

DeSiMp3

DeSiMp3 was launched in March 2006. It has a big database of songs and is updated till April 2007. The site uses Joomla for the frontend and a uses a PHP download script for download management. It has a beautiful, well integrated design. The domains included in the sale are

• DeSiMp3.org
• DeSiMp3.info

All the songs available in the site are high quality 320kbps VBR mp3 files. This is much better than other sites offering lower bit rate mp3 or real media (rm) files.
The site also has a mailing list which consists of more than 2000 opt-in mail ids.

A Streaming Media Player is integrated with the site thereby allowing users to listen to the songs without downloading
Apart from the domains, the buyer will also get the hosting account (360 GB space, 3600 GB bandwidth, already paid for next two months), and more than 25 GB of mp3 audio files etc. The buyer need not do anything other than updating the site frequently with the latest songs.

BigMp3

BigMp3 is a relatively new site and was launched in May. It also has a good database of songs and has the latest songs. This also uses Joomla as the frontend and a download management script and a good design. The domains included in the sale are

• BigMp3.org

The domain "Bigmp3" itself is worth several dollars if you resell and it can be used by non-indians also for starting music sites in their language/country

A script for easily embedding Youtube(or similar sites) videos within the site is integrated. Hence it can be easily made a video portal also.

Features

The download management script has a very good admin panel from where you can manage everything. Addition of new files is very easy as it includes a mass file addition script. You just need to enter the path of the folder & the category and the files will be added automatically. Also the script reads the mp3 tag information and generates song description

Leech protection is enabled in both sites thereby preventing other sites from directly linking the songs.

The process of updating the site is very simple. The songs can be downloaded from popular bittorrent sites and uploaded. After which the mass addition script can be used to add all the files.

Revenue

The main revenue source is AdSense. AdSense revenue from BigMp3 in the month of June was around 175$. July earnings are similar. DesiMp3 used to get in the range of 180-225$/month last one year (when it was frequently updated). In addition to that PayPopup and BannerConnect ads are also used. More than 75$ per month can be obtained from it.

If the site can be updated frequently with the latest songs, more than 300$ can be obtained from each site with the current traffic. We haven’t done any marketing for the sites. With proper marketing and posting in popular blogs, toplists etc. There is huge scope for increase in revenue/traffic.

Traffic

When the sites were updated frequently, each site used to get around 1000 UV/Day .Now it has become less since updates are not happening. Most of the visitors come from India. Rest from US, UK etc.

This shows only Adsense for content earnings and is only from July6th as we added the channels only then. The earnings from 1-6 is ~45$. Also from Search and refferals around 10$. Total ~185$ from Adsense alone.

Just upload the songs using Ftp,adding an album using the mass file adder script takes just 5 mins!!!

 

We do not know about the legal status of all songs. But there are many similar sites around and there have not been any problems till now. Many songs(remixes) in the site are released by several Djs to promote their works. So they are perfectly legal. Also Youtube videos are perfectly legal as they are released by the community. The site has got a disclaimer and report section where any content if not legal can be removed if requested.
