Putting it nicely... I have a desktop and it was running smoothly until recently when the graphics card decided to quit. I don't buy into extended Warranties because they're a waste when you buy them, but boy if you don't buy them ALWAYS something goes wrong right as it ends... Anyways I took it to the Geek Squad and they messed my PC up even MORE by unhooking it and then they touched something else and said "your power supply isn't able to support this". I was like WTF? You installed it!! So I took it home and called ATI up hoping I could get some help on what to get to fix the stupid thing. ATI didn't help anymore so I just threw it aside, and switched power supplies from another PC that was crashed earlier. So its not the power supply... must be the card, so they told me to send in the card and such... And here I am waiting for a new card or at least I hope for one.... So... do you usually buy extended warranties or do you do what I did and say the heck with it?
I never do but in saying that I know how to build my own PC's. I always make sure that I have all the part numbers of everything inside so when something dies I can re-order it as quickly as possible.
IMO BB/GS are about as useful as trying to scrape ice off your windshield with a soggy pretzel be that as it may, I usually roll the dice with out the X!
XD only the ice scraping with a soggy pretzel might work better. I'm thinking I might have more luck if I buy everything and build my own computer... might be cheaper.
