Google ads aren't the best ads for something like Digg, so they are trying out alternatives. FMads could have been the best, if only they had a broader inventory.. Digg traffic on a website are so ad blind, why should they be any diff on digg. Only about the dismal CTR they have might be from all the Google Traffic... Digg ranks very well for so many phrases, what will all the digg this link on every Blog

I personally switched to YPN and dumped Google Adsense. YPN is much better than Google..

"you want google to pay you more via adsense" I want them not to pay less..

I doubt that... especially if digg doesn't want to place google ads.. I'm sure MS would give a better offer if digg was on sale :D

Digg has NOT been sold to Microsoft and the rumour is falsely and loosely based on the contract made between the two as advertising and publisher partners. Digg will be placing numerous Microsoft advertisements on the digg homepage.

It's just a drop in the bucket to Google, although it's a drop I'm sure they wish they had back. I don't think this is in any way a reflection of the quality of Adsense ads, but simply a case of Microsoft making a higher offer. Huge sites like Digg prefer to get some guaranteed money out of their ad deals, and a higher overall price per click than little mom-and-pop websites (like mine, and most likely most of yours).

I'd have to agree with that, considering that Microsoft (in the PC software market) only dominates through having Windows pre-loaded on PCs. If it hadn't been for this, people wouldn't have been familiar with Windows, and would possibly be using something superior right now. The tech-savvy tend to sway from Windows for actually knowing what else is out there, rather than being trapped within the START menu. :)
