Hi, Just wanted to let everyone know that I had another great and positive experience at DP forums today. I responded to a post over in the forums section and had some work done for my site. It's amazing how people from all over the world can still communicate effectively and help each other to meet common goals. Fairy (the person that did the work) was awesome. Fairy is the person who did few small good jobs for me as well , very good and good quality service , i definitely recomend that chap to everyone , and hes online like 24/7 on msn gg's
The DP forum does seem like a really nice place. I've been looking at some of the posts and everyone does seem rather helpful here.
Hello All Moderators and Administrator, I know i should not have created this ID , and posted here , but i really had no choice except this. This is "fairyoflove" here, i have been working for all digital point members at my thread located at http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=412839. I started this service, as i knew forum was full of scammers, who never perform there duty and dump buyers, but i myself tried to get a change in this system and worked on Digital Point for more than 20 hours day , i had 100 % good reviews till now , as the work was completed well before time and in reasonable amount. But as good things never last forever, i was shocked today when my account was banned by moderator, i will explain what happened here 1) i was as usual working till late in night for my DP clients and completing there works, but "jwatsonl" made an appreciation thread for me , as i did his work in less than 1 day, which was supposed to be done in 10 days ( till august 10) for reference this his website where i last worked - http://www.successwithauctions.com/cross-promote.php 2) I was busy on forum , when suddenly my account got banned , i was shocked ... but i knew i will surely get email why i was banned , and i got that too , it said " I PM’ed members to get work" And this was truth, i will admit i did send PM to some good clients of DP to get work, but i never never we were not allowed to PM someone to get work in case he has posted his requirement in some thread. 3) While all this happened i was in touch with "jwatsonl" over msn, so he eventually even emailed Moderators, And i myself even filled form at ( "http://forums.digitalpoint.com/sendmessage.php") , but i got no response. 4) My account was banned till August 26, because i PM some members for some work, i no where mention that any moderator is wrong or responsible for this. But mistakes are meant to be made by human , if it was a simple ID and i would have made mistake deliberately i would have not taken pains to write this text and let moderators know that i am sorry. 5) Another reason of me being here is , i still have a lot of pending work from my buyers , which will be completed by me in any case in said time. I never wanted to hurt anyone , including any seller , buyer or moderators. But Destiny may be had this in store for me. The buyers whom i have work know that i am working on there project all day / night and online at msn / gtalk / aim / yahoo for them to contact me. 6) If i wanted to go quietly from DP forums, i would had went off, but my heart does not allow to RIP / Scam any buyer . So as i said i will complete there said work in given time. I am myself reporting my post to all the moderators, so they can read this and decide, my fate. I will like to apologies and ask moderators to unban me, so i can work with my clients whom i owe alot of money here. I am sure moderators will look into it and help me by reducing my infraction level by some point , so i can work here. I would again like to mention that , i had no intension's to come to this stage , where i am today , but i never knew we get infraction if we PM people to ask for work. I am just requesting Respected moderators to help me out once, so i can cater my paid clients and make DP a good place, where buyers can trust sellers and work in good environment. Moderators please Read this thread and help me to get active here again , i will surely maintain dignity and standards of forum forever. If the moderators want , 1) they can ban my ID and delete this post also , and let me pay for some wrong time. 2) They can unban me , and let me work with my already paid clients. I know I am wrong in posting this topic here, but I have a lot of work load pending at DP , and I do not want my buyers to suffer for my mistakes. If anyone ever got hurt by me , I personally apologies to him/her. Reporting this post to moderators to decide on my case. Apologies from me. * at end of say , it feels like working for over 20 hours a day to make my cleints happy has gone in vain. I know this topic my not be appreciated by all, but if someone try to imagine my position he will surely understand me. I Request moderators to accept my apologies and let me work here.
I'd have to agree that the mods can be a little strict and have their own views on issues. I myself have received infraction for posting things in categories I thought were appropriate. If a mod disagrees, fine. By all means move it. But, if it is a matter of opinion on where a post should go, (not a blatant bad post) why give infractions. We don't all think alike. My post I got an infraction for was in the General Chat category.....COME ON! The post topic even says "post what you like" or something like that. My point is the mods are too harsh and quick to react. I have several forums myself so I know how tough moderating can be. Still, there is a clear line between abuse and different behaviors of your users. Posting in the wrong catagory is going to happen. You guys need to lighten up eh?
Wow , to be Honest I wouldn't like to be in your position and I do understand how you feel ! I hope Mods will look into it , everyone deserves second chance and this community will surely miss this youg fella ! cheers ° vai
I've got to back fairy here - he recently did some work for me moving some rather large forums with limited server access and did a lot of work by hand quickly and cleanly that many others I contacted couldn't or wouldn't do. Communication was always excellent with fairyoflove, and all the work I've had him do was completed ahead of schedule ie. he'd quote 24 hours and have it done in 12. I know he was doing a lot of work for a lot of other DP'ers and I'd hate to see a great service provider tossed out on a technicality, especially when he has so much pending work with other members and it's clear no harm was meant.
I thank my clients to post here and support me in hour of problems. But i feel what ever the decision moderators will take, will be for betterment of DP forums, i will just want them to think about my case once. I have reported this thread to moderators, and even send PM to online moderator. I am sure whether decision they take on it , i wont be made paid for one mistake, in any case i will be rendering service to my paid clients. I am apologizing again to anyone who got hurted by it.
Mmm How long is your ban? Btw, by creating another account you are most likely to stay banned. Although you point is valid.
Ok... Lets get this sorted. Fairy is banned until August 28th ... you'll have to suck it up like everyone else who has found themselves in your position. Yellow Infractions (zero points) are often given for moves so that the person knows what has happened and where to find it. Users who have turned off the "emails from admin" option in their options don't get infraction notifications and rely on checking their control panel. That's risky! If anyone is still expecting work to be done by you they can post their email, skype etc in this thread or the sales thread and you can contact them that way. Being banned from the forum does not prevent you from continuing to work for those people or being referred on.
