    I know webmaster do wait for this update, but I've also seen Google always try to do things that are unexpected. Google doesn't like very obvious moves.

    some SEO experts said that google has already counted the backlinks and PR update is expected in August 1st week :)

    yeah i also expect next PR update to be within coming week. as backlinks have been updated already and i do xpect PR update to come within next couple of days.

    I can hardly understand what the big fuss about it. I do wait for the PR update, but it's not like i can't sleep at nights because of that thing. There was also a blogging movement of the people who have better things to do than wait for the update. Anyone willing to join? :p

    Do a search on this forum for improving page rank, and you should find a wealth of info. Off the top of my head, submit a sitemap.xml file to google webmaster tools, get as many quality backlinks as you can, and make sure you have QUALITY content, titles, meta descriptions, etc.

    I think we need a Google guy in DP who publicly announces the updates... or don't we? Maybe it is more exciting in this way. :) A pure uncertainty.
