This is crazy. An AvnAds (AdBrite’s sister site) publishers have reported a $100 CPC ad. http://easywebbers.com/2007/07/28/100-cpc-ad-over-at-avnads/
They have removed that ad or whatever.. the advertiser withdrew. maybe it was just a hoax for a lot of people just dumped their other ad channels to put up adbrite network ad in order to cah in on the 70$/click revenue. Anyway its no more there.
Ive seen $100 cpm a few times, but you'll never actually get it due to the 2nd lowest bid and auction basis etc.
I saw an ad that was paying $100 per click at adbrite too. It was for some pirate RPG game or something.
Maybe he meant to choose $1.00 and accidentally picked $100. That or he is filthy rich. But I think it is the first one.
I've seen this occur a few times by users of our pet related CPC ad network. In every case, it's input error by the user. IE, the user entered $100 but meant $1.00. I'm sure that was the case here.
Silly. No advertiser in their right mind would pay $100/click, no matter what product or service they're selling, they aren't going to get an ROI.
