Hi guys, im new here. Anyways, i run a pretty popular forum and i am #1 on google for many different keywords. During slow times i average ~3000 page impressions a day. On regular days I average ~5000 impressions and on busy days i get upwards of ~25000 page impressions! I am hardly earning anything from google adsense however and its getting frustrating. The most I have ever made in a day is $3, I usually make anywhere from 1 cent - 80 cents a day which is trash! I have attached screen shots of my adsense since last payment, this past month, and for today. Does something seem wrong? I am running 3 ads on my page. One banner at the top, one under the first post of each thread, and one at the bottom of the last thread in each post.

Forum people just don't click .. I have one forum myself and just gave up for pay-per-view ads... atleast I don't bother making them click ...

    Cheers,

Thats your problem, forums have very low CTR as you can see on the image, also, regular users get ad-blindness after seeing them a couple of times thats why they dont get much clicks.

Your CTR is really bad. Your traffic is not paying attention to ads at all. If you are making your ads blend, try your ads to stand out so then people pay more attention to ads. Also move around the ads and see which location is the best.
    Good luck

Yes, forums have a very low CTR. You just need a lot more traffic I guess. However, your placment might not be the best either.

make sure that your ads look very different than your normal page. Looks at the ads on this forum, the ads don't blend with the pages at all.

2nd thing that you can do is to put ads between posts (I don't know how to do that but there are posts which can help you figure that out)

adsense may not be the best solution for that website. I get around 12k uniques a day for my blog and i was barley cracking $20 a day . i added another affiliate program to my site and that affilitate pays 2-3 x's more than adsense . sometimes you have to play around and see what works best for your website

Hi OP, you should focus on CPM ads that pay per thousand page views. Try ValuClick. I have the same problem as you. I have over 4 million page views monthly but my average CPM sucks. It's like a rollercoaster. Sometimes you get the luck of the draw. My CPM was crazy high over the past 3 days But I guess it's fixed now. :(

yes forum ppl just don't click on ads, they are ther for the info. Either go with cpm or affiliate (depend on ur forum niche) or try auctionads (later, once they fix all their problem that is ...) they come with a picture in the ad so it might get some attention.

Your page impressions in the graphics do not jive with your explanation in the text. During SLOW times you say that you get 3000 impressions per day. If that were true (and you had adsense on each page as I assume you do, otherwise what are you basing your impressions on?) you would be getting at LEAST 100,000 probably more like 150,000 impressions for the month, not the 60,000 you show currently for July. To me that says you get on average only 2000 impressions per day, not 3000 or 5000 and CERTAINLY not 25,000 per day! Over the last 8 months you average about 5000, but July seems to be really downtrending for you...may have something to do with it?

summer time is when traffic really slows down for my forum. It has to do with the type of forum i am running. Here is a pic of page impressions PER DAY for a couple weeks during mid april. Busy season is about to startup in the next month or so, so i am just wondering if there is any way for me to increase my eCPM, or how to earn more revenue.

    Forums ctr sucks.
Try to change your ad looks regularly to avoid ad blindness.

0.68$ for 5 clicks is not as bad as some people get.
my guess is your problem is getting people to click them, try re-arranging the ads to improve your CTR (btw showing/discussing your CTR is against google TOS)
