Title: FBI searches U.S. senator's home amid corruption probe

One of the many reasons why our country has not raised the minimum mpg requirements in about 20 years...

My suggestion: purge all politicians and start over; it can't get any worse.

Maybe he can finally use that bridge to nowhere and take a jump :p

Congress at 14% approval. Most people think its someone else's senator/congressman who is the problem. So expect the 95% re-elect rate to continue.

One of the best ideas I've heard in a very long time. I don't believe representation was meant to be a "career" as many of these people have turned it into. Unfortunately, term limits aren't likely to happen very soon.

I don't vote, as it would lend credibility to the system, but if I were to vote I'd be voting against incumbent. I don't think 100% of elected officials are corrupt, but it's damn close.

I had heard that a list is compiled using info from drivers license holders and registered voters... Then random people are selected from those lists when needed... It might be different for every state/county though...

Yeah I'm pretty sure its a combo. I looked online earlier and the state I saw it was DL records and voter registration and its a composite of those. So if you drive, you can be on jury duty or if you vote you can be there too. My employee got called last week - but we wrote a letter saying he was my only employee (he is) and couldn't sit around at the courthouse on the busiest day of the week. They never called him back, so he's out of it. My mom has been called a few times. She doesn't mind it too much - always boring cases - but she's essentially retired anyways.

Here we go. My county in Florida:

    http://www.hillsboroughcounty.org/c...gList.cfm?progId=HCAI0448AN&keyword=Jury Duty
But the florida southern district (miami)
    http://www.flsd.uscourts.gov/default.asp?file=jury/juryfaqs.html#Q2
So, it's not the same everywhere. I assumed it was. Ah well.

    EDIT again.

I guess the second link (southern district) is federal. So the way you are selected is different. If its a county/state court, I guess it goes by drivers license info.
