Has anyone tried posting in Craiglist with your own links to get it index by Google? If yes, can you guide me how to do it? I tried creating some post with my links but all of them got rejected.
Lol thats definitely a misuse of craiglist. Just submit your site to some social bookmarking sites. Google should pick it up in a day or two.
I was able to post links on craigslist in the business section, but ofcourse the community kicked it out pretty fast.
People used to this before. There were SEO reports being made on how to index your site very fast. You've guessed, they suggested you post your link on craigslist. HOWEVER, this doesn't work anymore. Posting your link on craigslist raises a red flag instantly and probably your post is not even going to be shown... You might still get away with a link there, however I don't think it's easy.
If you advertise on Craigslist regularly, google will index your links, its happened to me quite a bit.
You don't need a link to your site for google to index it. All you need is to have a google toolbar in your browser (ie or firefox). This will alert google to the fact your website exists - but it obviously won't help get it ranked due to not having any other inbound links that are relevant. I have a site that isn't launched yet - it was being developed and google have indexed it - parts of it that shouldn't have been indexed. The only thing I done was navigate the site using a browser. I have since modified the site a bit and removed the parts that shouldn't have been indexed - so hopefully they will disappear out of serps in the future. Obviously since there are no inbound links and the site isn't launched yet, I don't expect to get traffic to it as content is very low at the minute. Once I get some content on it and then start promoting the site I am hoping that google will have removed the parts that shouldn't have been indexed initially. Using craigslist wouldn't be advised either... as it will only have them for x amount of days (and could cause problems for your site ranking... they would look like paid ads and therefore be discounted from links anyway and could flag your site as a spam site). The best way to get noticed is probably some well chosen article sites that simply link to relevant parts of your site. I do not mean distributed to 100s of article directories, but some well chosen relevant article sites may be a useful starting point.
