Hey does anyone know of a script like peekvid.com or tv-links.co.uk where you can easily manage, organise and embed videos from youtube, daily motion, veoh etc.

I've used joomla in the past but i don't really need a whole cms..just something similar to peekvid.com, unless there is an extension for joomla that can do this?

    Hi,

The two video scripts that I have been investigating are TopMediaScript and Social Media from EntertainmentScripts.

So far, I have been able to look at four production sites using TopMediaScript by browsing through their forum. It is very aggressively priced and seems to have good functionality. I just started doing my due diligence on this script, so I have yet to decide whether to try to incorporate it into my site. Video scripts can create lots of problems from an administrative and technical point of view, which is why I am taking my time in researching the products. The real cost is after the purchase and installation.

Social Media has more of the social networking fucntionality that I am looking for, but it is still missing some of the things a like. However, what they have seems to be very good and well priced. However - and this is a big one - their forums are closed, and it is extremely difficult to find out any information about the product quality, performance, and installed base. I have conversed with two current customers, neither of who have yet put the platform into production. There is no free trial, so it is difficult to move ahead without more information.

Hope this helps a bit. There are other scripts out there that provide a "YouTube" clone capability, but I am not interested in copying YouTube. They are doing a good enough job as it is. :)

Let me know if you find out anything.

    Rich

Hey King... one thing I noticed... the thumbnails look kind of... pixelated.

There a reason for this? Is that something that could be looked at down the road. It immediately jumped out at me vs other vid sites.

Looking for something like this, but let me know what ya think about that.

    Thanks

    roosef

EDIT hmm whoops, maybe that was just wootvid... the other one I checked out looks ok!!! I will email your sites contact :)
