Why should India can have nuclear technology, but not Iran, even though India has not signed NPT? In my opinion, I think any country should have nuclear technology for their well being. Not just hypocrite few.

Why in Particular India? Why not Pakistan since it hasn't signed for NPT as well. Anyways, first of all, I believe no country should have nuclear or any weapon that can bring mass destruction. Nuclear technology should be used for peaceful applications such as energy management. Not for killing. Now since you brought India in the matter I'd like to explain Indian part only. # India has a very clean history of using forces. # India has clearly declared "No First Use" of Nukes. # India has nuke technology since 1974 (Or even earlier) and was capable of making Nukes since then but it never tried to threaten anyone Including Pakistan and China. # India always shown responsibility in tough times # India as a democratic country has always been politically stable. These are some of the facts that make India eligible to have Nukes.. Yes, in a same way you try to represent your country...
Man, tens of other countries have similar or better reasons but US and others wont allow them to have nukes. Answer is simple in nutshell. If you live somewhere near Punjab you must know that old and typical Chaudhry* mentality. They never let govt. open school in their village and try their best that no one in the village get much education. Why? Because, this way people start getting aware of their rights, they become stronger due to education .. and all this stuff is not acceptable to Chaudhry and is threat to his Chaudhryship. lolz, thats the case with US. If they let everyone allow to have nukes, how the hell they will be able to threat and invade others? lol * For those who do not know what "Chaudhry" is .. Its a landlord type of individual in the villages of Punjab of India and Pakistan .. who have much influence on the villagers because of his richness and PR outside the village and bla bla. And villagers sometime use him as judge to solve their small and family affairs. by the way, its something of past .. hardly you can find village and Chaudhries like this.
I'm not concerned with that..As I stated above I do not think any country should have nuclear weapons. I am only representing India here. An American can Represent USA's point of view much better. I am amazed with the comparison the OP has selected.. I am still wondering why he selected India in particular (Specially seeing his post about India in other threads, 90% bs) he could have asked why Iran cant have Nukes simply.. Or if he is making NPT a benchmark then China and Pakistan both fall under this category..

Your post made alot of sense. Ontopic, i too am against any country having mass destructive weapons. But you compare India and Iran ? Iran is currently being run by the monkey, Ahmadinejad. What do you expect ?

Plus, India has some really cheap off-shore consulting prices. Iran is a little more costly. With India being paid well by the U.S. then there is less chance of them shooting nukes at us...keep them happy = no nukes. Iran on the other hand. They get mad because people keep thinking that they speak Arabic. I SPEAK FARSI DAMNIT!
lol i agree with tonyrocks. US will never bother to screw up with India for the simple reason. They have exposed their a$$ to India way too much now. BPO, Call Centers, Trade settlements, Stock exchange. all of the TOP american companies have indians managing their business at the board level. Do you think US will ever try to screw up with India? Nuclear proliferation is a tough one. If any and all countries are allowed to develop nuclear technology, there very well may be some grave consequences.

india has one billion people, so it would be impossible for the US to invade them...that's why the US allows them to have nukes

Israel is USA's ally. If Iran would have 1 billion people do you think the US would have anything to say about wether they should have nukes or not?
