I see from the logs that a few people have checked this out. Feedback welcome.

Also, PM me if you want details on how the content-sensitive thing works.

Why would anyone blame a leading Online Retailer for their publisher shortcomings. I hate threads like this, I suppose I Just need to stay out.

    My 2 cents.

My webpages are like real estate.

The space I devote to amazon products and links gives me laughably small returns.

I use book covers with links to Amazon on some pages as colorful, topical DECORATION.

    That's all it's worth. Decoration.

Yeah amazon are not fair trade but if we all went amazon would close down because it is the 1,000,000 resellers that make amazons it's billions of dollars.

I think we should have a no amazon day and see what happens to them lol.

Not if those 30 sites took you a few hours of your life to set up, and cost you near nothing... ;) It's easy money IMO..

I've never concentrated on link building.. I think it is a very small part of the overall picture when it comes to generating traffic.. I list in a few niche directories, I use Addme to submit to search engines.. I do some manual SE submission, and then I interlink related themed sites... If you are looking for a product and cannot find it in one of my niche stores, a series of recommended links to other stores of mine will appear...

I can make $3000 up/ month with amazon associate by using ppc such as adwords, adcenter, yahoo. I think if you try you will success.

Some of my adsense niche sites will pull in a great commission, most others get nothing at all but lots of clicks. A lot of them get sales revenue from products that were purchased after the visitor wandered around on the site.

I wish I knew of a good DVD affiliate program, it's hopeless selling DVDs via Amazon..

For me, PPC program (adword, adcenter) doesn't work well with amazon as almost every product already there.

I just start to make it another way by blog + content + astore. Check my site in sig. Let see what it can do.

Amazon pays quite well for certain niche. But their commission is low. If you sell a $5 book through your link then chance is you'll just get less than $0.5. It's a better game for electronic goods though.
