You must have me confused with someone else or this is a typo. I've seen you say some stupid things before, but generally, you were just expressing an opinion, not making things up.

    I never said that...

    This assertion is not truthful.

It is quite telling that you find frivolities such as gambling and drinking more important than the defense of your family, your property, your country, and your civilization.

I am against regulation of gambling and drug choices, but those issues are incredibly minor compared to issues which involve the life and death of civilizations.

It is also quite telling that you equate "citizens" with "nutcases."

Matt, I'll take a guess here. Are you a big fellow? Do you weigh over 15 stone? Do you like to go out drinking and partying, all the while rudely bullying everyone around you who is smaller than you? Are you worried that some day you might accidentally bully the wrong innocent victim? Is that why you like your victims disarmed?

I saw on a documentary once that more people die in LA of firearms than in the rest of the civilized all put together. That surely that must say something about the gun laws.
Here you can start drinking when you are 16 or older and we don't have the same alcohol problems as in the US.

What is untruthful about it? In the UK regular policeman or prison guards are not armed.

Having guns doesn't equate to the security of family, property or the country. Maybe it's more telling that you feel that you need a gun to obtain that peace of mind?

Damn, you must find it hard living in that prison where they don't let you gamble, buy alcohol where you want or take drugs?

You're saying that there are no nutcases in the whole of the USA? There are plenty in london alone.

Yes I'm a big guy, though I certainly don't need the feel to bully people. I I wanted to do that I'd go to the USA, get a gun and feel like a real big man ;)

In the UK, some policemen are not armed. Hell, we have meter maids in the United States too.

However, in the UK, there is no real shortage of police units who are not just armed -- but heavily armed, including:

    • Ministry of Defence Police
    • Civil Nuclear Constabulary
    • Police Service of Northern Ireland
    • Flying Squad
    • Special Branch
    • Diplomatic Protection Group
    • Royalty Protection Branch

When you sacrifice truthfulness to strengthen your argument, you show only that your argument is too weak to stand up on its own merit.

Please re-read your original statement, where you equated citizens with nutcases.

Yes, I see that there are nutcases in London. It's too bad that the honest citizens don't have any defense against them.

When I was working and living in London, people felt unsafe going out after dark due the the large blokes like yourself who would beat people to death on the streets.

Where I live now, there are no such worries. Instead, we put the fear into the bullies. They know that any little girl they try to rape or old person they try to rob can be the end of them. An armed society is a polite society.

None of those are regular police officers and don't walk the streets. Exception of course is the PSNI but only because they are in a conflict zone and are very well hated.

Exactly, none of the units listed are arnywhere close to being regular police officers. Comparing the two is like saying the whole of the regular army are members of the SAS - they're simply not comparible. The ONLY times I've seen armed police officers is at airports or on the streets of London after 7/7, and that only lasted for a couple of weeks.

I've had many conversations with a close friend of mine who is a Sergent in the Metropolitan Police. I was surprised that he felt that police shouldn't be armed, he believes that if the police are armed then criminals would feel the need to as well. He's been in the police for 4 years and has never had to tackle anyone with a firearm.

Apparently the majority of officers that he speaks to feel the same way.

The police here dont need to be armed, armed response units are generally very quick to get on scenes where a gun is needed.
If everyone had a gun here then jeez every time you get pulled over by a cop in your car you get a gun shoved in your face by a policeman like in America.

Have you ever been off that island... If you pull a gun on a cop, you're going to get a gun pulled on you... You make a cop feel his life is threatened, they will do what they have to defend themselves.

Cop's don't just pull guns on people when they pull them over. I've been pulled over enough to know that ;)

Yes im always off this island actually, in America also since thats where my uncle lives.
Ive never been pulled by a cop in America, but from watching them American shows with real police footage nearly all the drivers they arrest they pull a gun on, shove them up a car etc. So your speeding, big deal that doesn't mean you got an ak-47 under your seat.

I had a gun pulled on me just off Route 81 in Upstate NY for no reason. I was pulled from the car and my luggage was checked. The arse wipe also accused me of hitting 70mph even though I was doing 45mph with cruise control on. The nut job started accusing me of calling him a lair and had a head on him as if he was on coke.

Fairly shit himself when I showed him my documents from Capitol Hill and the reason why I was in the U.S.

Excuse me sirs, can I suggest my country, Macedonia, as a country fulfilling the mentioned requirements? In fact, there is a webdesign crew already in my town, all my friends work there. No tax, minimal wages for employees and pretty intelligent young guys with desire to achieve success in life :) . I can offer my services as a partner, since I have a good reputation in this city, I know a large circle of young pc geeks who would gladly do pc related job, and I do own assets including large new building for workplace and some starting investment. Another interesting thing to mention is, that the macedonian web site market is yet to be sewed. There are so many web site niches not covered and so many users yet starting to use the internet massively.
