It's more than likely the same guy that runs Revisitors. The postage address on the sites are different, but I don't know how legit they are.

In my experience, any bulk traffic provider sends junk traffic. The majority of visitors (or bots) will leave the site before it has even fully loaded. I think it's a shame that both sites are really just overcharging for the junk they provide - you can find the exact same traffic for much, much cheaper in the Services/Traffic category here on DP.

    Hi Susan,

You can find many threads offering bulk traffic in the Traffic category. What I meant is that these people are offering the same type of (junk) traffic for much less than what BetterVisitors are selling it for.

Excuse me, but I've been checking the traffic forum for days, and it is indeed all junk, paid visitors and fake visitors...but no one there even claims to be selling this type of traffic, visitors redirected from expired domains, which I am unable to get specific information about.
What aspect of these services is a scam? Do they not deliver the traffic promised, or is it not targeted?
Obviously this isn't going to be great traffic in general, but at the price a very low conversion could be maintained. The theory makes sense, so if the catch has been discovered, could someone say what happened?

I think the difference is Better Visitors offers pop ups and pop under type traffic which is annoying when you are browsing the web and all of a sudden you get a pop up or pop under.

Revisitors offers redirected traffic through expired domains. Basically the domain that had traffic on it ,is redirected to your website which offers a similair product. You choose the category that relates to what you are promoting ,and you will get redirected traffic from a expired domain that had a similair product as you.

For example if a domain was promoting Weight Loss ,i could have that traffic redirected to my Fat Loss 4idiots Affiliate link from clickbank which offers a way to lose weight also.

I still have not seen one thread where anyone who used this service was disappointed. I'd really like to see one, since people usually complain loudly here when they get scammed. So far, it looks like very few people are trying this traffic!

use the search option on this forum and type revisitors - you will find many posts with real people who tried it and tell you exactly what happened.

I have used this company twice. Once for an adult site and one for a site selling a data CD. The adult site was first and generated a lot of traffic (as expected) but no sales. I only did their smallest package and wasn't sure if I would really get a sale, so it didn't surprise me to not get anyone to buy. The second time which is currently underway is for 15000 hits and we're at the 3500 mark today. After the campaign started, I changed my home page to read "if you see this please email me to let me know you are getting this because I paid a company to do this and doubt they are truly directing people to my site." Well, I have yet to get an email from anyone telling me they see that screen. I'm sure at least a few people would have written to me if they had seen it. I think it's a scam and I'm going to be asking for my money back or American Express can ask them for me. :)

Does Peon really think people are going to bother sending an email? I'm all for testing, but please make it a valid one! All you are testing is whether someone is so bored they're going to send you an email.

I went and looked at the BetterVisitors site. Unlike what Beserker says, it doesn't sell pop-up/pop-under traffic, it's expired domain traffic. No doubt that's why the FAQs are similar.

Here's the point with expired domain traffic. Of course it doesn't convert as well as search engine traffic. On the other hand it's 1000s of times cheaper. The BetterVisitors $14.95 package gets you 2000 visitors. Assuming $1/click on Adwords (a reasonable amount), you get 15 visitors. It's just a numbers game, people!

Expired domain traffic works well when what you're selling isn't a brand. If someone used to go to a site to buy Cheerios, and the new (redirected site) sells Corn Flakes, you won't make a sale. If you're selling pictures of women in bathing suits, on the other hand, no-one gives a hoot if it's Brand X or Brand Y. The effectiveness of this traffic depends a lot on what you're selling. For $14.95, you really don't need a very big conversion rate to justify it.

You know, conversion depends on your site as well. What is the unique selling point that makes any visitor convert? What is the design that drives a customer to buy. BetterVisitors has a very effective single-page "letter" that obviously has some people here buying. Maybe they should copy that format (copying is free, btw) to make their page convert better, instead of blaming it on the traffic.

Fact is, different traffic works differently for different sites. As with all things on the Internet testing (valid testing) is the answer. (Check out marketingexperiments.com for some good clues on how to do that.) BetterVisitors sells a $14.95 package that they clearly say is for "testing." That's not too much for testing. Doing substantial testing in Adwords can easily cost you upwards of $100.

I tried the $14.95 package (for testing) which is supposed to give 2000 unique visitors. According to my stats all the so called visitors would visit my site within a 30 minute period, often in the early hours of the morning (1AM), then nothing until the next day's quota. All these "visitors" register 1 page/visit, and all my other visits from organic search and PPC campaigns average 3 pages/visitor. I seriously doubt whether these are actual visits, surely out of 2000, at least 200 would view more than one page. I would regard anyone that says anything good about BetterVisitors with suspicion.
    Waste of money!

It kills me that webmaster buy this crap traffic and then complain when they get nothing.

Face facts, you want real customers, you have to pay for real customers.

Instead of flushing $50 a month on one cheap non targeted traffic source after another, do nothing, save your money for six months and then buy some real traffic with the $300.

dear Retired Internet Marketer, what you say is the truth itself, but the problem is that many people like me do not know many places where to actually get REAL traffic at reasonable cost. i use adwords, msn and yahoo since years, and sertainly some of the traffic is real there, but they are getting so progressively more greedy ... that i, and many others, would be really to happy to know where to get THE REAL TRAFFIC.

Ok, here's the lowdown! I spent $160 USD for a 15,000 visitor campaign with BETTERvisitors. Received email, saying I'd receive username/password in 24 hours, NOT arrived. So called and called 4x but phone keeps diverting to answering service. So I sent numerous emails (with no responses over 48hrs).
SO....I thought I'd write to some of the people who claimed to use their service and placed "testimonials". I got their website from the site and emailed them.
I received this from one of them!

    Hi
I am afarid that I have never used this company and I am writing to them to remove the testimonial from their site.
    Regards

    Flor. Brides.

So off to the bank tomorrow and try to recover my funds!
I've had a rough patch with the net lately, been scammed with every venture I tried (3 times now) so back to the real world of making money for me!

I took the 15,000 package with an additional 15k for about 50% off.. So far they show that i have about 7k visitors, my stats show about 3k visitors.
Its been about 8 days, not one user signed up or filled out a lead form but my alexa rating went from 1.4MM to about 750K.... I think that alone is worth the price, HOWEVER the avg visit per site dropped significantly since most BV visitors ( like 99.9% ) stay on the site for about 5 seconds.. load and leave I guess

If you look at your overall Return on Investment, instead of conversion rates, BetterVisitors is a winner in my book. I've used it again and again, and I end up paying about $1.12 overall for a conversion. For what I sell, that's a total winner.

Are you guys all comparing this to the quality of Adwords traffic? If so, of course you'll be disappointed. It doesn't get the same conversion rate. But I've found that it's much much cheaper and when you look at what you spend for what you get, it's highly competitive (better, actually) with Adwords.

Also, the guy who was waiting all this time for his confirmation? I got a call from BetterVisitors asking to confirm my order. The guy was very polite and explained that they confirmed all their first-time orders by phone because they'd been victimized by fraudsters. He gave me his personal email address and asked me to write him directly if I had any problems. Frankly I appreciate this concern and the times I have written with a problem I've been contacted back right away and the problem fixed.

I think some people have unrealistic expectations, but I've found BetterVisitors to be a great resource.

Actually how much have you lost until now? Its mere waste to use these kinds of traffic generation sources coz they neither produce sales nor provide revisiting of those visitors again.
