Thanks man. I think I am going to do a whole redesign on the site. Get rid of the mounts of text (mainly used to SEO) and just built the site like blam in your face. I think it might work Thanks
I don't think the design is bad, but I would change that default browser font to something else since you are using CSS already.
@ArcticPro You re right.. he should try some different fonts, play with css.. the site is not that bad looking as people say.. i did not look at the other things.. just first sign..
Simply Google.. search for it.. you could also think of changing sizes of text.. just search for css.. and fonts... there is enough info. You have to play with it yourself.. I dont know how you build your business etc, coding, seo etc.. did not check things.. just first sign.. in changing some little things it looks like DJjays if you want to.. just want to say that it is not that bad looking as people say.. as a reaction to the comments..
No offense but, i wouldn't buy from a site with that design unless someone had already bought there. It makes me think you will scam me. Here you can check for a lot of designs for free: http://www.oswd.org/ hope it helps.
"Hey you guys have any font suggestions? I really bad when it comes to fonts." Maybe think of an overall look. Think of the audience you are appealing to. What would appeal to them? Then pick a font that goes with that. Hope this helps.
Yes I find the fonts not suited for your site. It made the content looking like a typical Word document. The way the heads were cut in the pictures gives me some very disturbing feeling. The way the Raw Blue and the Delf images were put on top of each gives an impression like a corrupted picture file. The plain white background gives it a very ordinary look. A slightly darker shade might make it look better.
Hey what you guys think about the background color? I was thinking of making it white? The color currently is suppose to go with the logo. Thanks
id say your selling it at too low a price, and im not kidding. I know clothes can have a rediculous price tag, like 300% mark ups. So to the average consumer who goes onto your site, sees a MSRP of $129 (hell they probably memorized the prices) and see your doing it for $39.94 it can make people weary. I see you have analytics installed, have you use its stats to see where your major exit pages are? How many people hit the cart etc? If only 7 people ever touch the cart, and you make 7 sales, thats 100% conversion on hot leads. Thats really good and very high. But if its only 1% then you could be missing 693 sales~ due to a poor cart. You need to figure out when people are leaving on what pages and then you need to make an assumption as to why. If its looking at a particular item its because of sizing, if its on the overall list of items its confusion on how to use the navigation on the left or navigate into items. I see you have an ebay store as well, is that converting at all? Pierce
Thanks for your input, yes I do need to look at where they are exiting from. I JUST started watching the bounce rates. I am trying to get faster page loads for those who can't wait and bounce before the page even loads completely The eBay is good, it is very profitably. No problems there. Its the website that needs work. I have noticed that a few customers will make it to the confirm page (last page where payment info is entered), then bounce and never make the sale. And the price tag thing, yea that can stir up some questions, but I didn't think it could be this bad? Navigation needs a re-work. Would you mind telling me what parts of the nav are confusing? This way I know what not to do. Thanks Again
i dont have any critizisms about your navigation, i was just saying you need to figure out the exit pages, and i was just giving an example. Bounce rates are handy, but what page they exited on is more important. Also the amount of time spent on the site. If the average is high(5min+), could mean they select a few items and then try to buy and can't for some reason. Pierce
well the part if the site that makes it look like its scam is the font try a different one maybe Verdana or some thing that look more modern. good luck
I agree that the design is bad, but I don't think it's so bad it's causing people to leave necessarily - although it certainly isn't doing much to keep people there . That might sound contradictory but it's not. I would tend to think the quality of traffic is poor - where is it coming from? Are people landing on pages related to the content they're searching for? What kind of traffic HAS resulted in the few sales you've gotten? What traffic (CPC) are you paying for but is performing poorly? I agree with redesign, but the design isn't bad enough to explain the poor conversion rate. thats my 2 cents fwiw
