In 2002 India started building it's military base in Tajikistan, it's first ever military base in any foreign country. Although it was partly functional since may 2002 The base will be full functional by next month. The base was set up following a bilateral agreement reached during then defense Minister George Fernandes' visit to the Tajik capital of Dushanbe in April 2002. The two countries have agreed to cooperate in the fight against terrorism because both are victims of the Taliban militia of Afghanistan. During his visit, Fernandes held extensive talks with Tajikistan President Emomali Rakhmonov, Prime Minister Akil Akipov and Defence Minister General Sherali Khairullayev. The base is close to Eurasian Drugs and Arms pathway near Afghanistan border. It'll work was listening base and will help to prevent terrorism and drugs smuggle. Apparently both Russia and US are okay with this base, and do not see it as a threat.
It's good to see India stepping up! India has a very important role to play in enlarging the core and shrinking the gap.
First military base looks like the following: More like a guy sitting in an internet cafe or under a bus stop, watching porn and doing spamming. (It's a joke, very common in India)
Yeah? really? I didnt know it though.. I believe You have some really nice things to say about India..
