Great post GTech. My grandmother thinks I'll likely burn in a Christian hell as well. Her excuse is that she is 82 and was raised as a very strict Protestant. What's yours?
Thank you, that was very considerate of you to say. I didn't say anything about hell. Wouldn't be my place to suggest such. For all I know, I could end up there myself with a first class ticket. Some day, we will all answer to Him. Whether you want to, or not.
You must be intelligent enough to know that an argument like that is simply ridiculous. Threats of hell or having to answer to some scary Christian "god" aren't likely to propel me from atheist to Jesus worshiper. I'm long past saving my friend, don't waste your time
I've gotten no impression from any of your posts that suggests that you lack intelligence. It's open-mindedness and a peaceable nature that you need to work on. So, you're welcome. I'd encourage you to take a trip to the Great White North if your closed-mindedness is forcing you to harbor negative perceptions of Canada; some time here would do you some good, I guarantee it.
Its not the religions. Its the extremism and fanaticism. Religion is just the base. Its the crazy people who either been brainwashed or the are just fucked up in the head that go around blowing things up and killing people using their religion as an excuse. Real, down to earth religious people would never hurt anyone. So its the question of anialating the extremism within the religion rather than looking at the religion itself.
In faith, nobody puts their foot in between you and the Creator.. The division line has been on Jesus/Isa This is what I discovered: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=419335 `hachoo
Well, being a base of lies, it's not difficult to see why it inspires such craziness in it's believers.
