A good approach to selling designs?

    Hi,

I was thinking, does anyone here, when they want to sell a logo or a website, approach an online business or website without a request and give them designs for their website and a price?

I can see why people wouldnt do a whole website design doing this, because they might not want/have the budget for it.

However, I think that it could work, just email the people, if they like the design then they pay you and get it. Very simple. Or it could lead to them requesting more revisions and so on.

Have you tried this, and what are the results, or what are your thoughts?

    Thanks,

Emailing people will be considered as spam, I would suggest you to promote it through relevant forums or best to try out few freelancer sites to get designing jobs.

I wouldnt see it as spam if the person had taken time to put together a collection of unique logos made specifically for you. In my eyes, Spam is where someone sends out mass emails of sales templates.

    Sounds like a nice idea.
