This is the first article I'm posting on my web directory, wanted to get some input from all you veteran directory owners... Please let me know if I'm off base on anything... Thanks! Posted on my directory: http://articles.silverlineweb.com/posts/July_2007/Why_Submit_to_Directories.asp
Its not that complicated or involved. To get seen on the search engines a webmater has got to figure out the search strings visitors are going to use to find his site. This in my mind is the most dfficult part. Next you start link building and you should start with the free directories. Then once started you dont stop. Thereafter and only once you have got to know a bit about this market you can start buying links. But stay away from PR. Its expensive and serves no purpose other than to make the site look pretty.
Thanks! I was never very long winded... I guess it's a good sign that no one's calling the article stupid yet
tarponkeith, nice article, its to the point and without all of the filler, very easy to understand for everyone. pipes
Thanks guys! I was sure that I'd get tons of "that sucks; you don't know squat about directories"... So far none; thanks!
Well I guess its a little too brief but still serves the purpose. You might like to add few examples that would help understanding.
Sounds good! Thanks! I'm rewriting the article, and will post the updated version on the site within the next couple days...
