Only that country should prohibit its citizens to own a gun where there is absolutely no illegal firearms, thieves and robbers...
Thank God that in most European countries you can't buy handguns, they have no use what so ever. Here in Portugal you are allowed to buy hunting rifles and there are enough deaths derived from them already.
I'd want one for my self-defense from criminals, I do not believe that utopia is around the corner, yet..
We in Europe don't have guns and we're still alive.... Trust me there's no logical reason for anyone having a gun. The way I see it having guns only increases crime not the other way round.
In reality criminals will have firearms, legal or not. You can only limit how obtainable they are for people. 100% of criminals having firearms and willing to use them is 100 times worse than a very small percentage having them and using them as a threat.
Exactly, the same logic that is applied for people owning guns can be aplied to people owing nuclear weapons. I want one to stop people threatening me with one!
So when a criminal tries to rob me by brandishing a knife, I should try to threaten him with what? a rock? in self defense? And thats freaking stupid.. In India owning a gun is not illegal as long as you have a firearm licence, yet there is a very low crime (real crime) rate involving a legal firearm. One of my friend was able to save his life because he had a gun(not loaded though and thats funny) when a street robber attacked him with a knife. He got a wound, but immediately pulled his gun. As soon as the robber saw the gun he ran away.
Yepp, but not online.. Its last 5 years registered crimes stats by Police. It was published in 'Times of India' newspaper about the time when Virginia tech shoot out took place. Majority of Crime involving legal firearms were suicides. only 12% of total firearms fatality were caused by legal firearms (Including suicides).
You can't imagine how pissed off I get with this crap from Europe.... All they do here is find new ways to tax people..... You can't do anything here without being taxed for it.......... I must move to a tax free country....
Jersey or the Isle of Man always appealed to me. I feel the same in regards to all the crap from Europe that is being flung at us. OK Ireland got great benefits economically from the joining of the EU but its way too expensive. Rip off Ireland as we like to call it.
Meaning? Prison guards or the police don't carry firearms over here either. We can gamble online on the other hand and buy alcohol anywhere. It's lovely living in a free country, it's just an added bonus that we don't give our nutcases firearms.
