    Yeah it's on the English one too, I knew it for ages - I thought the link between Google and DMOZ was well known and even "standard".
    Should have reported my findings earlier then :p

    It is pretty well known for years now. It used to be a good way to help your site by getting it listed in Dmoz. They are so slow listing sites that they make google look fast now. Google has sites in search results that have been down for over a year.

    I knew this long time ago. But, I still can't have my site in DMOZ :(

    I'm with ya, Sphinks. I've submitted my site twice in the last 7-8 months and still no DMOZ love.

    it's not a new think. google directory is a copy of dmoz :)

    Another connection is, Google doesn't update it's DMOZ data for over a year :D

    Google directory is a copy of dmoz but imo google is decreasing the value of dmoz cause the directory has not been updated for more than 400 days.
    And also google uses your dmoz description as your sites description , this is a very old story.
