Survey Sites - Serious or Sham?

A couple years ago I signed up to some like:
    www.surveysavvy.com
    www.ciaosurveys.com

I actually got a cheque for surveysavvy like 3 months later, I was quite surprised (a whole $7!)

There are heaps of others out there.

Have you had an experience with these? Positive/Negative? Maybe some are the real deal and others are itching to get on the QBC website.

I'm not surprised lol. But not even 1 working?

    Have you tried before?

Yeah some are, we have some in Australia that are recognised businesses, companies pay them to access the data collected by the surveys. I guess avoid the ones that look shabby

I have made a few pounds from light speed panel. When I say a few about £10 in three months. Each survey gives £1. In my opinion there are some legit ones but they don't pay as much as everyone makes out.

Survey sites are ridiculous, most give you the idea you can make big money with surveys, but in all reality you have to "qualify" for certain surveys, and most just don't pay.

The notion of "Make $50-$75 an hour" is pretty much garbage, as most surveys are $1-$3 and they take 20 minutes to complete... you do the math :)

This business started with some real money behind it, but then scammers learned and copied the business. Now they are scamming people like crazy, don't know what they get out of it... maybe they say "Give me your Credit Card info" and we will send your money to your CC.

I used to do lots of them. But the surveys themselves are horribly boring.

And time consuming. The only one that I still do faithfully is Pinecone Research. They pay $5 for each survey and they send it to your paypal in a pretty short amount of time. And they often do product tests. So not only do you get something for free, you get paid $5 to try it and give your opinion on it!

Some are legit, others not. But most will underestimate the time it takes to complete a survey, and insist that you don't get paid until you accumulate some credit, which can take ages. You might get the odd £10 or £20, but when you work out how long it has actually taken you to earn that much, it's peanuts. Not worth polluting your inbox, in my view.

Most of the survey sites are meant for USA and yet they try to attract others staying outside the US.

Some are legit like global test market but it will take a very long time before you can earn the minimum to cash out.

There's a similar thread in the affiliate section. I do a few surveys and have earned a bit extra. I signed up to some of the sites that send them out for free like Global Test Market and Ciao. Don't ever pay anyone to send you surveys or join survey sites that ask for a fee. Spend a bit of time researching instead. You'll find plenty of free info on the web.
You usually need to build up a certain amount of cash or points in your account before you get paid but I have been sent a cheque for an individual survey before now. I have also tested products and completed a paper survey on the products and I've been paid individually for that as well.
It's a bit time consuming but if you have plenty of time you can join a number of survey sites and get paid from all of them. You probably won't make a fortune but the extra money is handy.
