yup... that prison is in cebu, philippines.. with 1500 jail inmates .. somehow.. they found ways to divert loneliness... the two lead performers were drug pushers and frustrated performers... hehehe.... they said when they were interviewed that when they used to perform before nobody would appreciate..Now, they are happy that they are well known.. not only in the phils.. but internationally.... cool huh?? The security consultant in cebu is planning to make it as a tourist attraction in cebu...and planning to put it in guinness world records for with be most number of dancers dancing thriller.....
There's another video from ABC that goes behind the scenes and mentions some of the problems with the wardens efforts. The big question is: If you stood off to the side and yelled "Baby" only one would turn but if you said "Boy" how many off the 1499 would turn? (Note: I have many Filipino friends and relatives and there is at least one person at every event named Baby or Boy )
