I would go with phpld if it supports sub-categories, i am looking for version for 3.2 but cannot find its download link.

PHPLbid does not support sub-categories, so if other one has it, i would go for that.

I just got phplD for the first time, and I'm not so sure how much I like it. On the other hand I really liked phplB, very easy cool script, imho.

    - You have to PM David for this. I think he is sitting on the fence (on a public wide release) a bit until he sees how Gooogle treats bid directories this coming update. I use v3.2 phpld bid on my unique bid directory and am happy with it so far.

I have tried both phpLB and phpLD bid script for a new bid directory site I started and in the end, I forked out that $29.95 for phpLB even though phpLD bid script was free. Why? Because phpLD bid script felt so....fake. It may have had sub-categories and all, but it was never intended to be a bid directory script. phpLB on the other hand was built with the intention as a bid directory and has more powerful features such as auto-approve and bid received alerts even though it does not have sub-cats.

Verdict: go with phpLB and do not settle for anything else :D

this is a very good point. phpLD only made a bid version as phpLB was doing so well and was popular.
